Please tell me this has GOT to be good news!

“The Lord is not too busy that he can’t reach down and mend a broken heart. And my burden is not too heavy that he can’t hear a plea of faith, God Still Answers Prayer.”

For those of you not in the loop, The Mrs. received a call from the doctor’s office yesterday saying that our beta numbers were extremely low and that they expected to see her numbers dropping by Friday and for her to miscarry the baby. They said they just didn’t see any way possible the baby could survive. I sure am glad they can’t see through God’s eyes. There’s no other answer for this other than some dear saints rang the bell of Heaven on our behalf. Thanks to all of you for praying for us in our time of need. Words cannot express our gratitude.

Her beta was 64 on Monday, and it needs to double at least every 72 hours. With that said, the beta this morning should have been at 106.80, based on 48-hours between the blood tests. She just received the results back from today’s blood work and the beta was 116.44, so our little jellybean is still growing!

Please pray for higher numbers on Friday; she will have it repeated then.

Thanks,

They want to do another test today. I figured they would what 2 days, so I am wonder why, but the nurse did not know, just said the doc ordered it.

DanaCat,

I went back and read a previous post and saw where you IUI'd on 06/20. We IUI'd on 06/17. Your beta is much higher than my wife's. Today her beta was 116.44. Don't pay any attention to what the Dr's are telling you because they will worry the absolute fool out of you. The important thing is that your Beta number doubles every 48-72 hours. The reason they want to retest you is that your Beta is low given the amount of time that you've been pregnant; the same thing goes for my wife. We IUI'd on 06/17. Our first Beta was 25 on 07/02. On 07/06 it was 64.13; today, 07/08 it was 116.44. Yes, we know that our numbers are not huge, but we feel the important thing is that they are doubling.

Based upon statistics, pregnancy at three weeks, the range for beta would be a minimum of 500. Ours seems to be doubling every 48 hours now, so that means were just a few days away from the 500 mark. Of course, ours could be from late implantation, and yours could be the same.

Don't let them stress you or freak/wigg you out over your pregnancy. If your numbers are doubling then enjoy being pregnant until your body gives you something to worry about.

I'm praying that we will have a huge jump in our numbers with Friday's Beta, and I pray for you the same.

I know I didn't have my treatment with you guys. but I thought I would share too.

1) ages (member and partner/DH) - I'm 26yrs old and DH is 29yrs. We used a sperm donor with same age as DH
2) diagnosis - PCOS and Azoospermia
3) how long TTC total? - 2 years (one on our own - one with treatment)
4) which number IUI was this? I had my BFP on my third IUI. I used a more agressive rout.

Kris - I'm waiting to hear you beta. WHERE R YOU???

I spoke to my sister who had her first at 37, she said the nurse had told her she was going to
miscarriage because her first beta test was only 60. It crushed my sister, but she didn't miscarriage and everything was fine. So I am going to take your advice and try to not stress over it.

Well, it doesn't look good for me. My numbers dropped today, so you know what that means... back to square one.

Does anyone know how long it takes for your level to get back to 0?

Hi all - I think I am one of the last to report in! Congrtulations to all those !!!!

As for me, today was supposed to be my beta however last night I was experiencing some light spotting & decided that AF was on her way - after speaking with my RE's office, they said if a flow doesn't come by 5pm tonight to come in 1st thing in the morning for a beta.

Well, there was NO spotting all day & today at 6pm, I came home to POAS & there it was !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The line is definitely fainter than the test line but it's there!!!!

Woohoo!!!
