Hi ladies,
Welcome waiting4news7, you are joining at a great time because the thread will really heat up after we all have our IUI’s! We will support each other through all the false/real symptoms and pray for BFP’s

Charliesmom & Tippy- I’m glad your IUI’s went okay, at least that box is checked and now it’s the 2WW

AFM- went in this morning for bw/us and it looks like I have 2 follies ready to go. I decided to select doing my trigger tonight at 8pm and my IUI is scheduled for Friday at 7:30am. This works out better because I’m off of work on Friday.

One question I forgot to ask that maybe you ladies can help me with: When I was reading some IVF threads they are told not to go swimming, is it okay to swim a day or two after your IUI?

Athena - Good luck with your IUI on Friday, how exciting!! I'm excited to be going through this with such a great support system. It's crazy how many of us are doing it around the same time!! So good luck!! As far as the swimming question goes, I've read that's it's not a big deal to go swimming, but since you've already put so much time in effor into this IUI and this cycle, why risk it? I would just wait a few days to be on the safe side.

Hi everyone! I haven't posted in a while but wanted to wish everyone luck who is in the 2ww or going in for an IUI in the next few days. I think I will be a tail-ender of our group. I'm aiming for Monday for my IUI (based on last month). The Clomid is really throwing me for a loop this month. It barely affected me last month, but this month I'm so depressed and constantly tired. If this IUI doesn't work, we're going to talk to the doctor about what is next. I have had an HSG and I know that I ovulate, but I'm wondering if something is keeping the little embies from sticking?? Guess I shall wait and see. I just want this one to work. Like Charlie'sMom...if this fails it will fail on my vacation. So I hope to get a BFP this round...but I've pretty much given up on hoping for it. I just feel numb about it all now...I cry every once in a while, but I hate that I seem to be putting up this wall of not feeling anything anymore to keep myself from being sad. I have a feeling it's going to be bad when my little "fort" crumbles. I just don't want this whole experience to make me an unfeeling, bitter person.

New Poster; Former Lurker

I'm a long time lurker on these boards - just had my fourth IUI since March. I've been reading along with the threads that correspond to my treatment dates, but couldn't bring myself to contribute. I guess it felt more real to take the time and create a name/persona on an infertility support group. It means I have to stop denying that we are having trouble getting pregnant and start accepting some support and encouragement!

So, add me to the list. Here are the details on this cycle:
- 100mg Clomid, days 3-10
- 1000mg Metformin, every day
- Ovidrel (took 6/15)
- B2B IUIs - 6/16 and 6/17
- Crinone starting 6/19

This was the same treatment course as the last cycle. As of 6/15, I had one big follicle (24mm) on the right and a 15mm that they didn't seem hopeful for... On the left I had two small 10mm follies that aren't far enough along to count! SO, I think it is coming down to the big guy.

My husband's count:
- 75million; 80% motile on day 1
- 25million; 50% motile today (worst ever!)

If things don't work this month we are moving onto Bravelle (out of pocket, ouch). Fingers crossed ladies.

I need this to be MY cycle! Let me rephrase, THIS WILL BE MY CYCLE!

Kris - Good luck with your upcoming IUI this week!! Glad you're in our group! I know the feeling about being numb to everything. It's like you don't want to be negative because it's good to have positive thoughts, but I don't want to be over confident and then totally cry when I get bad news... so it's hard to find a happy medium! you get a this time around!!

MyLife - to the group!! I just joined this last week and already I feel the support from the girls in this group. It's amazing. So your numbers all look good... and I hope the IUIs went great as well!! Looks like we're right about the same schedule. I did my IUI this morning. We all need to track our systems in the next couple weeks.... Let's try to be stressfree and maybe we can all get !

Cheering us all on!

I have goosebumps! Today I got an email telling me I have a response to a thread I made on a church forum website over a year ago. I followed the link and realized it was a prayer request from me (from May, 2008) asking people to pray that I would get pregnant.

Today, almost exactly 24 hours after my IUI, a woman sent me the most beautiful prayer. It really feels like God is listening - that he inspired her to pray for me today of all days when it could be so critical. Why else would she find and respond to a thread that was made over a year ago?

I'm filled with hope.

Just got back from my 3rd IUI. The lining is good, sperm count is good, HSG is good, temprature chart is good.

I just don't understand why we couldn't get pg.

My RE didn't prescribe me with any injectable, nor trigger shot. He said all the numbers/indicators are good with me and my husband, there is no need for injectables. I trust him, but also wondering if he gives me more med, will it be easier to be pg? what's your thoughts on this?
thanks.
I will continue for everyone, lots of this month.

I am also going back to the RE on Friday for another u/s and bloodwork. I am hopeful that we will be triggering that evening and going in Sunday for our 2nd IUI. I really hope that's the time frame. This cycle has been longer than the last and the response to the injectibles hasn't been as fast, so I hope it is all positive news. for all of us.

Welcome to all the newbies!!

I am 3 days past iui and am so very crampy. Still tingy in the ovaries and mild to moderate all over cramps and feeling it my back. I would imagine this is still the body reacting to all the drugs?

But you know what sucks, I am already more prepared for a bfn vs a bfp. Its just the way the cookie crumbles and I hate to get my hopes up. That is a ****ty attitiude and so not like me but its where I am at right now.

Red face

Kris good luck to you next week and keep us posted on your progress! I know what you mean about feeling the disappointment...I have almost come to expect that this month is going to result in a BFN like it usually does. But I am trying to remain optimistic, but cautiously so...

MyLife welcome to the group! I hope everything goes well for you this month, and then you can spend the money you would have spent on injectables on cute stuff for the baby!!!!

Timing- are they doing an u/s to check and see if you are producing follies on the Femara? because if you are, I can't see how the injectables would help much more, although maybe the trigger would help?

Moody I will send you big follie thoughts on Friday!!!

Nicky welcome to the group! Happy to have you do the 2ww with us!!!!

Heather I am crampy today after the IUI

I am with you though, I am already trying to prepare myself for a BFN...I will be soooo shocked if this works...isn't that awful?! I am trying really really hard to be 100 percent optimistic...but it almost seems like if I get a BFP it's too good to be true...almost like I don't deserve it I too am not normally a depressed person...but these drugs...ARGH!
