So today was not such a good day...I woke up and was rather crampy and had back pain. Throughout the day I was also very crampy, and somewhat dizzy, which was making me nauseous. The crampiness is better this evening, but still there, and I am terribly irritible...I'm even yelling at the dog!!! I am thinking its from the HCG. How is everyone else feeling today?

Its definitely the hcg. I had a bad 3-4 days post-hcg and today felt normal. Well, you know, normal for us infertile gals - noticing everything my body is doing but not crampy today.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I am really glad to be able to turn to you all as we go through this.

Angel - Infertility certainly is a rollercoaster of emotions. I never knew I could hold on to so much hope and be so positive only to have that crushed when AF arrives. Month by month it gets harder. I pray that this is the end of the ride for us all.

Kris, Angel & Charlie'smom - I secretly hope for twins as well. Identical twins run in my family so who knows..

I have a question for you ladies.. how long after your HCG shots did you have your IUI?

to all who are already in the 2ww with me and for those with upcoming IUIs.

Nicky - I had my HCG shot on Monday afternoon at 4pm and then came in Wednesday morning at 8am, so it was pretty much exactly 40 hours. I was worried at first because I've heard 24-36 is best, but my dr. said he's done research and studies and has found that 40-42 hours is the best. But my situation was a little different too, because before they gave me the shot, they also noticed one of my follicles already released, so who knows what'll happen this month!! haha

Charlie - Oh man, I've been crampy all day today and yesterday. I did just have my IUI yesterday, but I got my trigger shot on Monday!! I can't believe I'm still feeling like this. I hope tomorrow is better because I'm going to a water park for the day! Yippee!!

I am now 1dpiui, hehe... still many more to go

I had my IUI today! Cramped all day long. I agree with you all, I think its the HCG shot. Oh well, we have to do what we have to do.
I'm that we will have a good 2ww and that it will be stress free! Lets try to remain positive and remember to pray for each other often. Prayerfully by the end of this everlasting 2 ww we will all have ,and soon be sporting the look!

Ladies, I am now in the 2ww. I am PUPO!!! My husband remined me of that! Here are our magic numbers:
42.8 million total sperm
49% motile
7.7 million Total Progressive Count

I just feel good about this. Besides, how can I be sad for a BFN when I will be in the happiest place on earth when I find out (DisneyLand)??

to our new people. Please feel free to find the list I posted, add yourself, and repost!!

Kris- I am glad to see you back! I was really depressed and tired last month on the clomid. Now, I know it wasn't just me. Do you have a plan in place just in case this one doesn't work? I find that is what is helping me through all of this... having a plan.

Everyone else, I just can't keep up! It sounds as though everything is going great though, and I hope to see lots of BFPs!!

My RE is a 24 hour guy. Both of my IUI's have been scheduled for exactly 24 hours after the HCG shot.

DH and I cover our bases at home. Generally we start doing the baby dance around 4 days before the IUI going every other day and keep it up for about 3-5 days after the procedure. That way I have a constant supply of little swimmers in there throughout my entire fertile period.

We're careful to make sure we don't have intercourse too close to the IUI however so that his little soldiers can stock up. We try to leave 24 hours of space between and the IUI. This seems to work well since his numbers were so great on both of our IUI days.

In addition, we also do the baby dance on the day of the IUI. I know his numbers are probably pitifully low when I "collect" his second sample only hours after the first, but this way when we get pregnant, we'll never know if it was because of the IUI or if it resulted from our intimacy which we have both agreed is very comforting. It makes us feel more connected to the process.

The way I see it I have his little soldiers waiting to do their thing for a solid 7-9 days during my fertile period. I don't intend to miss any chances!

Thanks Tippy and Angel.

My IUI was 31 hours after my HCG shot and I was worried it was too early. I was crampy straight after the IUI but it picked up late that night and went on until around lunch-time yesterday. I am hoping that the pain was related to the IUI and not ovulation pain.

Angel - We did BD after my IUI and the following morning as well. This way we won't know which of the swimmers got to its destination first

Well I woke up this morning with rather heavy spotting. Is it normal to start spotting more than 24 hours after an IUI? I don't know if I should be worried

Moody - YAY!! I'm so excited things looked good! Good luck with your IUI tomorrow. You'll have to give us an update on how everything went!

AllDeliveries - Glad to see your numbers looked great as well!!!

Where is everyone on their 2ww right?? I know most of us obviously just started and a few of us may be starting it soon.

I'm only on 2dpiui... still many more days to go. My cramping has finally pretty much stopped. It's still there slightly, but I think the HCG kept me cramping longer than normal. It was really strange though because I totally felt myself ovulating the day before my IUI, so I really hope this month is it!

My RE said I shouldn't take a HPT until cd 35, that seems soooo long! I haven't heard anyone else say they had to wait that long? When is everyone going in for B/W or when do people plan on taking a HPT? I'm thinking I'll get B/W on July 1, which is 14dpiui

To Everyone!

All set for tomorrow!

Just got back from my follie check. Nothing on the right and one 18mm on the left. This is going to be our first time with iui so we're pretty excited!

They wanted me to give myself the ovidril injection as soon as I picked it up so I did it in the car in the parking ramp! I was a little surprised that I only had one follicle. Is that normal? I was thinking that maybe because I am only on Femara and some others are on injectables that might be the difference? Oh well it only takes one egg and one sperm right!

Anyway we are going up for the iui in the morning. DH has to be there at 6:45am and I come in at 8:45 am! Then straight to work...yay! I had plans to meet up with some old friends that I haven't seen in a few years but cancelled because I think I'm just going to be too tired.

Oh I'm soo excited! The only unexpected thing so far has been with the money. They initally said I would need to pay $406 up front for the insemination. Then today they wanted me to pay $550 for the iui, sperm prep, and ultrasound. I also didn't consider how expensive the ovidril would be ($84). Yikes!

Hopefully we all get our and next month we can spend our money decorating a nursery!!!

: cross:

Hi Tippy, I know how you feel. The 2WW is torture. I'm on 3dpiui. My RE has never told me when to POAS so I try to wait until the day before my beta, but it's hard not to test sooner!

I'm getting my B/W on the 30th. Hopefully this is our month!

Tippy I have to wait until day 17 post IUI to take an HPT...if it's positive then I call the doctors office for bw...this is torture!

In regards to the ovulation thing, I haven't ever ovulated (as far as I know), so I didn't know what it felt like, but yesterday I still had this "fullness" on my right side which I am thinking was the follicle...but my IUI was on Wednesday...so who knows...I guess I'll find out on July 3rd if this was timed right or not!
