I was thinking that maybe because I am only on Femara and some others are on injectables that might be the difference? Oh well it only takes one egg and one sperm right!

Anyway we are going up for the iui in the morning. DH has to be there at 6:45am and I come in at 8:45 am! Then straight to work...yay! I had plans to meet up with some old friends that I haven't seen in a few years but cancelled because I think I'm just going to be too tired.

Oh I'm soo excited! The only unexpected thing so far has been with the money. They initally said I would need to pay $406 up front for the insemination. Then today they wanted me to pay $550 for the iui, sperm prep, and ultrasound. I also didn't consider how expensive the ovidril would be ($84). Yikes!

Hopefully we all get our and next month we can spend our money decorating a nursery!!!

: cross:

Jessica I was on injectables and I only had one follie...but you're right...all you need is one egg and one sperm!!!! Good Luck!!!!!

Jessica, I don't know if injectibles make more follies, rather it matures them faster and along with the trigger shot helps to predict the best window to have your IUI, but you are absolutely right, it only takes one of each to make a beautiful gift. The sticker shock can be tough. I remember when I found out that the injectibles were going to cost me almost $600 out of pocket with insurance. That, plus the cost of each office visit and then the actual IUI has been stressful in its ownself, but it will all be worth it in the end. Hang in there and good luck, btw, looks like you and I will be cbs and enjoy the 2ww together. Lots of luck

I go in on 6/29 for bloodwork. I bought pg tests today and have a total of 5. I have decided to start peeing with fmu on Wed(6/24) and each day after until bloodwork. I am a nut!

Its 10 days for the hcg to get out of the system right?? Or more?

Oh and my boobs are sensitive now and I almost puked at the Asian Market today in the Seafood dept. My gf said I was 8 shades of green and ushered me out of there quickly!

moody just wanted to wish you luck

heatherly i believe depending on your dose the shot could be out of your system much faster (i asked my re and they said 2-4 days) i had a 250 mcg(the number is right but is it mcg or miu or...) anyway i tested to see when it left my system and it gave me a pos hpt until 4 days after the shot and then i got negatives until d13piui so if you can handle the bfn without getting too down it's neat to see how long everything takes but everyone is different..

tkahn wouldn't that be an awesome fathers day gift...lots of luck to you

lots of to you all

Just got back from IUI #2, numbers were much better this round. 95 million swimmers. We will be really hard. Good luck to all of you!!! Time for the 2ww. They said to wait 14 days to poas, so I will try and hold out. From what I was told, it takes 12 days plus 2 to get the HcG out of your system so you don't get a false positive. to all

Jessica - I was on injectables and I only had one follie as well. I already have a history of twins in my family so they didn't want to risk multiples follies fertilizing and then have them split into identical twins.

Moody - congrats on the 95 million!!

Well I don't know if I should already count myself out this month. I am still having heavy spotting.. don't know if I should even call it spotting anymore..

I called my RE yesterday and they said it is normal to spot and to just keep an eye on it. I called again this morning as it seems to be getting heavier so I will have to see if they call me back today or not. I am so worried.

I really hope the bleeding won't affect anything.

Why is it that we all have to struggle so much

to all.

nicky i'm sorry you are so worried i hope they call you and everything is going all right

moody i found my pamphlet from the shot and found something so technically the shot would've been in my system for 6-7 days if this is right but the test were negative at day five so maybe the levels were to low to detect by hpt?..anyway i found this and thought it might be helpful (i am not a scientist by any means so this stuff is above me and i tend to believe the medical people without question lol)
"because 250 µg Ovidrel may correspond to a dose greater than 5000 IU urinary hCG"
it said the 250mcg shot corrensponds to approx. 6500IU and now i get it a little better so i guess that should be 6 and 1/2 days for a 250 dose and 12-13 maybe for the 500 (depends on metabolism too)
thanx for straightening me out(i was scared for a second i thought oh crap maybe my pos was a false but I'll find out for sure monday and let ya all know
good luck lovely ladies

Joining the 2ww

Heather- you crack me up!

So I had to get up at 4:30am to get to Madison for DH appt at 6:45am! We returned at 8:45 for the iui.

Our RE said that he could not say that we would have a good chance this month due to DH's numbers. He is on clomid 25mg and we didn't really expect to see results until August anyway but we wanted to give it a shot before then. His numbers were: 26.8 million count pre-processing. 3.6 million motile sperm in sample post processing.

Oh well if it doesn't work this month we are definately going to wait until August. Hey it only takes one good one anyway!

So you know how after you want to try to relax and be stress free. Well my car died on the way to work this am after the procedure! I was stranded on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere with no car battery in this hot weather! Finally one of my husbands co-workers came and gave me a jump. I got to work an hour later than expected!

What an adventure!

Good luck to all!

The box said 10,000 on the HcG if that means anything. I just handed it to the nurse who mixed it up while I waited in the other room and then she gave it to me. I don't know if there is a difference or if they tell you to wait so long just to be safe.

So, I've been totally fine the past 6-8 months and have come to terms with the fact that everything happens for a reason and I'll get pregnant when the time is right. I used to cry about it a lot and feel so sad that I may never become a mom. I've since come to terms and truly feel I'll be a mom one day, I just don't know when. Well these past few months, I've been happy when people are pregnant, I've gone to baby showers, things I used to not do the first 2 years. Well I was just reading the other thread where everyone is getting their and it made me totally cry.

Don't get my wrong, I'm sooooooo happy for all of those girls because I know exactly what they're going through, but it just makes me so sad and think again, "when is it my turn?" I'm sorry to be a downer, I'm normally not like this, but I needed to get it off my chest. Again, A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to everyone with !!!! Truly... I just am feelings sorry for myself. I need to get over it quick and have a positive attitude and hopefully it'll rub off and get me PG!!! Good luck to everyone!!!

Aw Tippy I know how you feel! All of us here do! But for the next the next two weeks I am going to be "realistically optimistic". I know we only have a 20% chance of it happening this month, but I am going to try and just be positive. I am trying not to think about it every second of the day (which is hard to do...)...and just try to enjoy each day.

You had your IUI the same day I did...so maybe that will be our day!!!! Chin up young lady!
