I am sure you are going to get that BFP Naomi!! Congrats and I look forward to seeing the numbers from your beta. If I had a BFP I would be buying more test also because it's so unbelievable after trying so hard.

hang in there

Hi Tippy,

This is my first time posting (I'm a lurker! ), and I just wanted to wish you good luck. I did my first IUI this month (TTC for 11 months almost now), and I have found my hope waning too sometimes.

But just remember, it's all about when it's the right time for you, not for anyone else. I find it easier and a lot less stressful to hope and pray that it will happen when it is *supposed* to happen for us. It helps to take a lot of stress out of the situation

Good luck, and lots of and happy thoughts to everyone!

Trying to be positive...

Tippy- I think we all go through periods where it feels like we are dealing with it better and then one day out of the blue something brings back those sad feelings. I think sometimes we convince ourselves that when someone else gets pregnant that's ok because it just means our turn is coming up sooner. And then someone else gets their when it should have been our turn!!! I feel the same way sometimes.

Yesterday after the iui I was feeling a little down. My husband had asked if we had a good chance and the Dr responded..after a long pause.."Well I can't say you have a good chance becaues of the low numbers...have you seen Dr. Williams the male infertility specialist yet?". As we were leaving I just felt like he had this look like "It's not going to work and I'm sorry I took your money". But I know that he just is preparing us to not get our hopes up if it doesn't work.

I've been trying to stay positive anyway. I will test on the 4th of July so yesterday DH and I were joking around about patriotic names we would name the baby if we found out we were pregnant on the 4th.

Oh well all we can do now is wait...

WOW - lots of posts here! Good luck to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We just did our first IUI 6/20. I am unexplained, but I spot a lot during the luteal phase, so I asked for prometrium. I feel like I have ALL the bases covered now . . . 2 eggs, putting the spermies right there, helping out my lining and progesterone levels. So I am just . I'm a little concerned about the timing, but not much I can do now . . .

Mom-in-law had a dream last night that DH and I gave her a mousepad with a picture of a little boy and a little girl on it. She was confused. We said, "don't you get it? We're having twins!!" She didn't even know about the IUI! A sign???

Because my DH keeps looking at me funny when I bring up my "symptoms", I will just write them here.

I am 8/9 days past my b2bIUIs last Sun and Mon. I am having afternoon nausea, similar to what I had with my last 2 pregnancies. My bbs are more tender each day. Whacked out dreams. And my nose is on steroids. I will start testing on Wed!!!!! Gah, I am a nutter!

I totally get what you all are saying about wanting to see all BFPs in our group and how hard it will be if me or you don't get them.

Thank you everyone sooooo much, for your love and well wishes!! Sorry again for that, it was just a bad day, but I'm back to being positive! Sometimes I just feel weak and I can't take it anymore, and then I snap out of it and again realize I'd rather the baby come at the right time and not just because I'm impatient.

So thank you, you all definitely brought a smile to my face!

I'm now 4dpiui and no symptoms, but none are expected this early in the game. Still have about 1 1/2 weeks before I'm going to test.

Heatherly - GOOD LUCK THIS WEEK!!! HERE'S HOPING FOR THAT
to everyone else... it'll be our turn soon enough

I just wanted to say that I am for all of us to get our !!!!!!!!!

I had my first iui on friday. Yesterday I went in to see RE and check if my 2 good follies ruptured. We finally got good news, they did! I actually ovulated! This is the first time so far. I am excited that we actually have a fighting chance! Now I am in the 2ww and I just want to speed up time. I go for a blood test to check hormone levels on friday, then back to test officially on July 2nd. I am praying for a !

Tippy - We are in this together! I get down about it a lot also, but we have to stay positive (for ourselves AND each other!) Lot's of to you! When are you testing???

Tiredofwaiting - congrats on ovulating what EXCELLENT news that's soooo exciting!!

I was told I shouldn't test until 2 weeks after the IUI, and I had the IUI last Wed. So I'm only 4dpiui. So I'll probably make an appt. to go in and get BW around July 1. My dr. says to wait like 3 weeks after IUI thought to do a HPT. Doubt, I'll wait that long, haha.

Hi Ladies, This 2WW is torture! I get my progesterone levels checked in a couple of days and am praying that my follies ruptured.

I keep "acting" like I am pregnant, taking my meds, buckling up, avoiding caffeine and rare meat... but admittedly sometimes it feels all for nothing. I just can't grasp the fact that pregnancy is a real probability. I mean, I've been having unprotected intercourse for ten years and I've never been pregnant. I can't imagine being pregnant. I just can't really get my mind around the fact that I could ever be pregnant.

You know what I mean?

I'm trying to stay upbeat though, keeping my fingers crossed for a miracle.

Ang-

I know what you mean, but look at it this way....This is probably the first month that you ever ovulated!!! That is why you didn't get pregnant before!!!! So stay positive!!!! That is what I keep telling myself..."it didn't happen before because I didn't ovulate"...this is your month!

Tippy- Glad you are back to being positive. For some people it comes so naturally to get pregnant right away, and then there is us……who just struggle. It amazes me how some people don’t realize how lucky they are to get pregnant and to go through your term and have a healthy baby. At least we are all strong enough to give this a try and if we get a BFP we will cherish every moment. If we get a BFN it has to make us stronger or else we will just lose it.

Angsea- I’m in the same boat as you, I’ve been unprotected for 10 years and nothing. I act like I’m fragile too because I don’t want to damage any of my eggs…lol. I keep on thinking this is ridiculous there were women working in the fields that were pregnant, I shouldn’t be afraid to walk…lol

AFM- I had my IUI on Friday and was a little crampy most of the day. It was the first time DH came with me to the appt. I talked him into doing his donation at the office. It was a little weird because he never gets involved in knowing what really goes on in the office. It was the very first time he has ever seen stirrups..lol. Anyway, he had a 340million sperm donation and the nurse said that is “A+++++++.” He was all proud and said “that wasn’t even my best work.” He totally had his chest pumped out after that. Of course, deep down I was jealous because its my ancient eggs that can’t produce anything. (I could only admit that to you ladies)

Good Luck to everyone!

I often think about what you said about how easily others can get pregnant. I remember telling my sister years ago that I wanted to try and have a baby. Within 3 months she was pregnant and now has 3 children. I remember how angry I was with her because she just couldn't let me be, it's like she rubbed salt in my wounds. I can't help but feel that she wanted to give our parents their first grandkids. All I ever wanted was one little angel and I pray that this is our time. I also agree with being extra careful and trying to do nothing wrong to have the best odds. I eat different and try not to lift at work just to have the best shot even though my dr. said that women get pregnant all of the time in all kinds of conditions. We all need to hang in there to all!

Ang - here's hoping you have good news and that your follicles ruptured! I'm sure you did... think positive!!

athena - thanks for the kind words, everyone on here is so amazing and I'm so grateful to have found such strong, wonderful women.

So I know I shouldn't be getting any symptoms this early (only 5dpiui), but I thought I'd list a few things that have been slightly different than normal. It all could be just the medicine, but still.

1. Weird pains in my stomach, nothing that hurts really bad, just uncomfortable pains like sharp little pains lower in the abdomen.

2. I woke up STARVING this morning! I have such a routine on when I eat, and I normally have my breakfast around 8:30, but first thing this morning at 6:45 I was sooo hungry as soon as I got out of bed. Not normal.

Anyone else have anything unusual?

hello ladies!

It's great to hear so many people making great progress. This is our month! to all of you!

AFM, I've been away for a few days because of work and family stuff. But I'm back now, and I'm trying to catch up on everything I've missed!

Anyway, I had my b2b IUIs on June 20 & 21. DH's count was 27 million postwash with 97% motility on day one, and 29 million postwash with 95% motility on day two. I had four follies (ranging in size from 20mm-24mm) on June 19, and triggered that day.

I go for my beta on July 4, and am now in official 2ww hell, which is only made worse with the progesterone. Here's hoping I'll get some great news for Independence Day!

Good luck to all of you!
