smbuffington - CONGRATS! I know you are so excited! I can only imagine... I'm about ready to throw in the towel myself. We've been trying for over 2yrs now and we are financially and emotionally drained!

sdavis - sorry to hear your news. I am trying to hold out, and I'm actually starting to cramp more so I guess that means AF is on the way. Figures! I guess I'll still do a HPT if I haven't started by tonight, but I'm sure it's coming. I don't want to be neg but I don't want to get my hopes up either, ya know?

This is the hardest 2ww ever! I don't know if it's because I'm now obsessed with checking the forums and therefore constantly thinking about it, or if it's because like sdavis it's my last iui before moving into the scary ivf realm. Either way, I'm driving myself crazy! Any tips to avoid thinking about it 24/7?

Not sure what we'll do next, if anything.

House - so sorry dear. Don't give up the ship, but take a break if you feel like you need one.

AFM - 12dpiui. Cramps come and go. No spotting yet (please God let it stay that way!). If I make it to tomorrow, I'll have never made it this far. I'm thinking of testing tomorrow at 13dpiui. Hopefully I'll get some good news. We shall see.

Hugs to you all.

i don't think there is any way to not obsess about it! and don't be afraid of the ivf world. i like it so much better than doing iui's. yeah, it's more expensive, and the er is not that pleasant, but you are so much more in control with things...you know so much more about what is going on, and the odds are SO much better. my office has a 50+% for people my age! it's probably b/c i am a total control freak, but i am excited about switching to ivf. good luck to you!!! (hopefully you won't have to worry about it!)

HouseNRaleigh~so sorry!

AngelJourney~good luck!

OK so I caved and took 2 HPT's (2 diff brands) 12dpo using the same urine sample..

Initially I gave them about 3 minutes staring intently only to find absolutely nothing on either..
In the trash they went. Of course 1 hour and some change later I decide to fish them out of the garbage only to find they're both now
Now I know I know, Evaporation lines.. BUT heres the thing.. these lines are not 'grey or colorless' like evaps are supposed to be.. they are both BLUE as ever and pretty obvious, I mean they're not super dark by any means but I don't have to squint or hold them in the light to see them either. So I dunno what to think...

My ingenious plan was to have DH pee on the remaining HPT from the same pack, and wait the 1.5 hour to see if an evap showed up on his aswell... Well.. It's now 40mins past him taking it and his is still stark WHITE, no evap - nothing. So I'm freaking outttt... I'm practically shaking but I don't wanna get my hopes up quite yet... What do u guys think?

I'd say POAS again just to be sure but it definitely sounds like an early to me.

I have to say that I have never tried to trick my HPTs by having my DH pee on them but that is a very entertaining thought. If I had know that was all it took to trick it into a BFP I would have tried it months ago.

AFM- I am praying that my beta rises in the morning because I am driving myself crazy. I can't stop searching the internet looking for statistics on successful pregnancies that start with a low beta. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

BW in AM

Well tomorrow morning is beta test so keeping my fingers crossed. I am not feeling any symptoms, so not holding out much hope. If this round does not work then we are doing an IVF protocol for the next IUI. That means birth control pills first and then 5 shots a day with trigger when eggies are ready. Three in the AM and 2 in the PM. Not looking forward to that but hoping that it makes bunches of eggs. Since I am 39, the fear of multiples is nothing like it would be for younger girls because even if I have a lot of eggs, the chance that they are all viable is very slim. It is called a microdose lupron flare protocol and it is what they consider the "big guns" for stimulating the follicles. If im not preggers, then I hope this will do the trick. If not, then there is always the next month... :-) Just knowing that keeps me going!! All prayers will be greatly appreciated and as always, I am praying for all of us!! God bless us all!!

I don't want to build your hope up before you POAS but those were some of my exact symptoms in the couple of days before I tested positive. Good luck.... go POAS.

Bfn

Well, the results are in and it is a BFN. So... on to a new and exciting month of TTC. Thank God I always have the next "chance" because that is what keeps me from being too sad. Oh, and I did get a BFP today, just not the kind I was wanting... DH sent me a text that said:
"Does Him love Her?? That's a Big Fat Positive."
Even though this setback is not what I wanted, I have sooo many blessings in my life that I can't possibly let myself dwell on this and equate it with a sucky life! Praise God for all my blessings! I will be praying for all of us!! Here's to a BFP next month!!
