Hello All,

I just returned late last night from vacation and went this morning for my follie check. And whatta ya know... I have to trigger tonight!! That puts my IUI on the 9th. I am outta range for this board. I hope that you will let me stay with ya though. I do like this group. I was not expecting to stim that fast but then, they did up my dosage of menopur this cycle. There are 8 follies on my left ovary but only 3 that are measurable (including my lead follie which is 19). The right side has 5 follies but none are measurable. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this is the month!! But only if it is His plan because otherwise, I don't want it to happen! As much as I want this baby, I want His will to be done in my life more!! I will catch up on everyone's posts and do some replying shortly. God Bless you all!!

I go for my U/S on Friday (CD12) to find out how my follicles are doing. This is my first IUI so I'm not really sure what to expect. Do you normally trigger on day 12 with IUI on 14? I'm on Metformin (ongoing) and Clomid CD3-7. My DH asked if I wanted him to go with me on Friday; I didn't think he needed to come to that necessarily. Did you always go alone? I'm hoping this works - I'm afraid to get my hopes up, but I think I have already gotten there.

Hi ladies! I am joining late, but at cd 25 I am still waiting for mature follies! I will hopefully have my iui this Fri or Sat. I am still part of the earlier thread, but one cannot have too much support!

Nicky - I have to say this waiting for is much better than the 2WW because at least I KNOW what to expect! But still, I hope she gets here soon so I can get on with things. If she does not come soon, I am not really sure if I can legitimately stay on this board!

We should be having our IUI next week some time. This is my first one and I'm excited - and nervous. I go for my 2nd u/s on the 10th. Hoping there's some follies getting excited!

Chatterbox - This is my 2nd IUI, and I go in for my U/S to check the follies on July 10 as well (Friday). That's CD12 for me too. Last month, for my 1st IUI, they had me come in on day 9, and they weren't big enough, so I came back on day 11, but 1 follie already released. So I'm a little worried about going in too late (CD12), but the DR knows best I guess. I'm assuming my follies will be ready by Friday, so I'll probably trigger then, and then come back Saturday.

IrishKelly - It's cd25 for you? do you normally have long cycles?? Of course you can be on this board with us! The more the merrier right?!?!

Kimmy - Please stay on our board! We need your support just as much as you need ours! Good luck with your IUI!! Congrats on the wonderfully sized follies!!!
Bistro - Still no ?? WTF?? come on lady, come and go already! hahaha.

Mere - looks like you're going the same day as me and chatterbox for the u/s.. GOOD LUCK!!! The first time isn't bad... just the dreaded 2ww...

I'm dying here though and really want to go get checked!! for big follies!!!

Ok, I read a question posted by someone else (sorry I can't remeber who) about do we go alone to the doctor appointments and I was actually wondering the same thing. Should DH come along? It's not necessary because of using donor sperm but should I have him take the day off? Should I take the day off (if it's a work day)??? I don't know what is appropriate and what isn't!

Any suggestions?

Oh, I have a feeling there will be some this month!!!!

meredmo-GL at your u/s!!

Tippy-I had long cycles, 30-36 days, but never this long. I think the clomid has lengthened my cycle. I obviously don't respond well to clomid, but that is what insurance will pay for. If this doesn't work they want me to do yet another round with clomid, which is pure torture!

Gregslady- I meant to mention it earlier, but I've only done 1 IUI so far and it was on a work day, and I didn't have DH come. I didn't want to make him take time off, but we live close enough that we were able to get his sample and take it right into the office. They say they need it within about 20 min. We feel more comfortable doing it at home anyways and not having to get the sample at the office. This 2nd IUI we're doing, may happen over the weekend and if that's the case, I'll probably have him come in with me so that he knows what I go through

Also, as far as I'm concerned, I work full time, and I just take time off to do the IUI. Then I come back into work once it's over. They said you don't have to rest or anything, only if you want. Because I take so much time off for u/s and iui, I figured I need to work when I can.

gregslady- I think it really depends on the job your husband has. Mine is a salesman and comes to most appointments with me because he is in the area and can stop by for the 1/2 at the most it all takes. When he can't make it I go alone. I do like him to be there for the actual iui. I feel like it is our baby and I want him there when it is conceived!

Tippy: That makes sense to go back to work that day but I am doubtful about my productivity level My boss is really understanding and would understand if I took the day off but honestly, I don't know if I will. I simply don't know how I will feel. Not just physically but emotionally as well.

My Hubby works in a shop 45 minutes from home. Actually we both work 45 minutes from home in opposite directions! That's why we got the house in a central location! He prolly won't be taking time for the procedures because he will want to save all his PTO for baby ultrasounds and such!

MBAGGETT: How did U/s go? Praying for some nice Follies!!

HEATHERLY: 2 good size follies is not something to be worried over... all you need is 1 . Stay positive!!Any idea when you will do your IUI? I am praying for a BFP and even for more follies to show and grow before then!!

CHTRBXX: I have normally triggered based on my follie size. This month it was CD9 last month it was CD11. Good luck at your U/S on Friday. Hoping for great follies! My hubby comes with me when an IUI falls on the weekend. Otherwise, I go on my own.

GREGSLADY: I would love to stay home after procedure but I have to go back to work. It is nice when it falls on the weekend though cause I can rest afterwards. I will be heading back to the office tomorrow as soon as I leave the Dr.'s office.

I have a good feeling about this month for all of us and I am really praying that we have a high rate of BFP's on this board!! Would love us all to get one...

Hello ladies... had a very busy day and couldnt get on till now.
I went for my u/s and I HAVE BIG FOLLIES!!!!!! whoo hoo. I go on Friday for b/w and another u/s to make sure everything is good still. Then on Monday, I will go back in for a quick u/s then hopefully get my trigger shot then on to the fun time (BD) lol.

I am so thankful for you guys, I love being able to come here and read how everyone is feeling and know that I am not alone!!!!! I hope for for everyone!! Baby dust to everyone.
