Hi everyone, so i am actually only on my 3rd pill of provera which i should be done next week and i'm usually like clock work and will gt AF 2 or 3 days later. I'm so exciteed yet so nervous this is our first IUI and we are starting with FSH injectiables. Does anyone know the difference with clomid vs. femara? I did a couple rounds of clomid with my Gyno but i only ovulated once. My RE office doesn't believe in using clomid there. This is so nerve recking thinking we have to wait and wait. Today was a great day b/c our RE told us DP's sperm was GREAT and i was great to - well at least all teh test came back good. well anywho i just wanted to say hello and hopr we are all cycle buddies togther and we all get our .

dpkaliua! There isn't a whole lot of difference between clomid and femara, they are just chemically different but work in the same basic way. Some women respond better to clomid, and others respond better to femara depending on their chemical make-up. I took clomid twice (it worked once) and then switched to femara which seems to work better for me (larger follicles).

I hope it works great for you!

Yea! I'm part of a "cool crowd" and can join one of these. I'm new to this whole process-very new. This will be our first round of ART. We're doing Clomid with an IUI. Hopefully, AF will come around the 9th. The plan is to do Clomid 50mg cd3-7. Day 12 will be a bout of bloodwork and ultrasound-although I think I'm going for more ultrasounds than just the one, my RE wants to very carefully monitor my beautiful ovaries so that they don't get overstimulated. I am very concerned about developing OHSS...

Of course, this is all reliant on whether or not they can get it authorized through insurance. I'm lucky to live in a mandated state (MA) and this whole process is covered by my insurance. If it weren't, I don't know what I'd do, there's no way we could afford it. There's nothing I want more than babies (human babies, that is, I already have 3 furry babies)! I have SEVEN nieces and nephews!! It's my turn!!

Aphrodite - Any luck getting AF to show up? I'm waiting too and it's killing me!

Sly Foxy - Good luck with your US and BW tomorrow!!

Angsea - I am so jealous you are already into you cycle!!

Charity - Hopefully this summer luck will help you concieve again! I noticed in you sig that you lost 60 lbs! WAY TO GO!! That's amazing!

dpkaliua83 & mom2cats- Welcome to the "cool crowd!" This is our first IUI as well and it is such a waiting game! I can't wait to through these next couple weeks with you guys!

As for me...UGHH!! Still waiting! Maybe I'm being impatient...okay, I know I'm being impatient! For me, I either get AF right when I get off Provera or not at all...so the fact that I haven't gotten it yet is stressing me out. Last month was the first time in a LONG time that AF came naturally for me...granted it was while I was on the beach in Fiji...so not the ideal place, BUT I was glad cause I thought that would set up this month perfectly.

What happens if it doesn't come? In the past we were just BDing so if it didn't come I would wait till the next month and take provera again. But with IUI could I take it again soon and then start the cycle after that or would I have to take it a month after I took the last Provera? I am waiting for the nurse to call me back but I thought I would see if you guys had any insights.

Hey everyone! It looks like I may be cycling with you guys. My AF started on the 5th. I say 'may be' because I am still waiting to hear back from the REs office.
I just went up to the radiology dept on base for my baseline u/s. They said they can't see my right ovary d/t gas. I am not going there anymore. The first time it took them an hour to get it done. This time I was in there for an hour and they couldn't find my ovary!! I am over it. The military provides little to no benefits for its active duty members struggling with IF, so I am going to start going to the REs office for the baseline u/s too... another $190 out of pocket.

I am just so angry at the incompetence of the general public about IF. Interestingly enough I was able to attend a session about IF while at a convention in San Diego this last week. It was intruiging, but it just helped confirm how ignorant those who don't deal with IF really are!

Okay, venting over. I know you are all just aching to welcome me to the group now

Thanks Ally for the congrats on the weight loss...I have been hovering around 60 lbs, but haven't been able to get there, so felt really good to finally reach that mini-goal. Only one goal left and that's 11 lbs more which is right within my grasp... I'm hoping the summer brings us all our BFPs!!

You asked about the Provera/Prometrium, and it's really strange, but I visit another board where women who normally get their af within 3 days of stopping have all been having troubles this month...It's been taking them 7 to 12 days after finishing to get af..? Not sure if it's a trend, but I felt so bad for them...Frustrated and wanting to start...I'm confident she'll come any day now! My gut is usually right...I'm predicting in two to three days...Stay strong hun, and our turn is coming soon...

AFM...Started some light spotting (so light I'm almost wondering if I imagined it lol!) when I went to the ladies' room this afternoon. Mild cramping, but nothing more..Sort of hoping she holds out a day longer...Just so my cycle is my "normal" 26 days...If it gets any shorter, I start to worry...I'm so close to menopause age, that any shortening or lengthening worries me...My cd3 FSH and E2's are still within normal range, and RE assured me I wasn't close to having to be concerned about that just yet, but I still can't help but worry...Seems we're always finding something to worry about with this journey. Nature of the beast I suppose...Oh well...Just trying to stay focused on continuing my weight loss, and keeping stress levels down. I'm going to be on vacation the week of my inseminations, and was the cycle that we got our BFP, so hoping that will be the "magic" to help make this one sticky! Good luck girls, and I hope the start to actually flow, and we can get our butts in gear chicas! Hugs to you all...

I'm still here hanging out waiting for AF!! It's been 2 1/2 weeks since my last provera pill. I still kind of think it will start a week from today, which would be July 14th... This waiting has just been awful... I keep telling myself that it's giving me that much longer to hold onto my money! But, I'm ready to spend that money!!!! Oh well, nothing I can do but wait. My re office wants me to call if AF hasn't showed in 3 weeks after the last pill, which will be Saturday, but I don't think I'm going to call until after the 14th. I feel like I ovulated a week ago, so I think that's the date... We did bd without a condom 4 days before that because I was so positive AF was starting, which turned out to be cervical mucus, not spotting, because I got a great big blob the next day, then a couple days later I got the sharp ovulation pain. I would LOVE it if that misunderstanding led to a BFP, but I know better... But I'll take a test before I call the RE next week just in case...

Good luck ladies, so nice to see so many of us!

Not cycle related, but a quick (albiet silly) question nonetheless...

Do any of you feel as though you're becoming slightly crazy? I have quit taking baths (I will take a lukewarm one if I need to relax), am paranoid about having my laptop on my belly, don't use heating pads anymore for cramps and on more than one occasion have threatened my husband when he puts his laptop on his lap (apparently I didn't explain to him exactly why I was freaking out so he didn't take too kindly to me yelling at him to remove the stinkin' thing or else). Until his laptop broke, I forced him to sit at the dining room table to keep his private area cool. I'm just hoping that I'm not the only person that has resorted to such odd requests.

Now, back to the point:
I'm SUPPOSED to start AF on Thursday...but I'm not feeling any symptoms. I'm frustrated and maybe I'm just overreacting, but by now I normally have some sort of light cramping and my boobies hurt just a bit. This happens even if AF is late due to stress-I simply have the symptoms for longer... Sorry if TMI, but my husband is not a woman and can't sympathize with me!!

Also, I am kinda concerned that my craziness will become more extreme once I start the Clomid...I am preparing my household for "wannabemomzilla" that will come with the mood swings. My hubby is incredibly understanding and tries not to take my outbursts too seriously but I do feel bad for the normal mood swings that come monthly. I have PMDD and I'm trying to figure out just HOW much worse my mood swings will get. When the PMDD was at it's worst, I had trouble sleeping, I was nauseous (which was exasperated by the fact that I wasn't sleeping) and was having dizzy spells that were interrupting school and work. I am now being treated with a low dose of Lexapro, which has been okay'd during pregnancy by my PCP, RE and therapist. It's supposed to help PMDD symptoms when trying to get pregnant, as obviously Yaz is kinda bad for the whole wanting a baby thing. Hopefully, the PMDD will go away completely after the first baby is born

I have started my 1st IUI w/inj. CD 1 July 5th. Should have IUI around 18th. Not sure exactly what day yet. I am really excited about starting treatment again. I took a break since 12/07 and am ready to get back in the game. I want a baby more than anything in the world and I hope and pray this will be the treatment to work. Good luck to all. Sending you all . I am so glad to have some cycle buddies.

Hi girls! May I join you? I am only 11dpiui today, but have AF cramps all day long. I absolutely 99% sure that AF is on it's way Remaining 1% - is still my hope...
I will better join you all today...
Looks like I will start my second IUI around July 23.

This IUI cycle I used Clomid, but I want to switch to Femara. I didn't speak to my RE yet. Do you think it's possible to switch? I used Clomid 5 cycles already and it's side effects are killing me. My lining was also thin (only 5.7), and I think it's because of Clomid

I wish you all good luck and I pray for for everyone!

Looks like we will be pretty close to the same time. I went to RE on Monday to do u/s for cysts and everything was clear so she went ahead and had me do bw on day 2 so I didn't have to come back the next day. I am on Follistim 100 iu for 4 days and then will see RE on Fri 7/10 for u/s and b/w and see how I am responding. I hope everything goes well for you tomorrow and keep us updated, I am we all get our soon.
Good luck,

Never posted before...

I'm new here and am very encouraged by the histories and stories posted at this website.

My hubby and I have been TTC for 3 years. I have PCOS and he has slow motility. We've tried 3 months of clomid through my Gyno. with no success. We started seeing a specialist and she's suggesting IUI.

7/1 - CD#1
7/3 - Started Repronex 150 injections.
7/7 - Upped to 225 injection
7/10 - next appt. with ultrasound
Not sure when IUI will occur - should be some time next week.

Praying for us all...
