Do any of you feel as though you're becoming slightly crazy? I have quit taking baths (I will take a lukewarm one if I need to relax), am paranoid about having my laptop on my belly, don't use heating pads anymore for cramps and on more than one occasion have threatened my husband when he puts his laptop on his lap (apparently I didn't explain to him exactly why I was freaking out so he didn't take too kindly to me yelling at him to remove the stinkin' thing or else). Until his laptop broke, I forced him to sit at the dining room table to keep his private area cool. I'm just hoping that I'm not the only person that has resorted to such odd requests.

Now, back to the point:
I'm SUPPOSED to start AF on Thursday...but I'm not feeling any symptoms. I'm frustrated and maybe I'm just overreacting, but by now I normally have some sort of light cramping and my boobies hurt just a bit. This happens even if AF is late due to stress-I simply have the symptoms for longer... Sorry if TMI, but my husband is not a woman and can't sympathize with me!!

Also, I am kinda concerned that my craziness will become more extreme once I start the Clomid...I am preparing my household for "wannabemomzilla" that will come with the mood swings. My hubby is incredibly understanding and tries not to take my outbursts too seriously but I do feel bad for the normal mood swings that come monthly. I have PMDD and I'm trying to figure out just HOW much worse my mood swings will get. When the PMDD was at it's worst, I had trouble sleeping, I was nauseous (which was exasperated by the fact that I wasn't sleeping) and was having dizzy spells that were interrupting school and work. I am now being treated with a low dose of Lexapro, which has been okay'd during pregnancy by my PCP, RE and therapist. It's supposed to help PMDD symptoms when trying to get pregnant, as obviously Yaz is kinda bad for the whole wanting a baby thing. Hopefully, the PMDD will go away completely after the first baby is born
momtocats4now do you know how well I understand you!
Clomid is driving me crazy with it's side effects. This cycle I've lost two cups and a glass It's crazy taht I know I am wrong but can't stop myself...
I also have PMS but it's not so bad...
I want to switch to Femara next cycle.

I also have read that laptop is ok on your lap because you should keep your ovaries warm. But it's no-no for the DH.

I think we will be the cycle buddies - I am expecting AF Thursday-Friday...

Wish you the best!

whew!

katkat- It's soo good to know that I'm not alone with my insanity!! I forgot to mention, but as I'm screaming bloody murder at my husband, I'm also screaming apologies at him. I think he gets confused I think my cats are reacting to my moodiness too. My girl cat looks at me and meows before she enters a room that I'm in. Not that SHE has anything to worry about, she doesn't do anything naughty...maybe she's just making sure I'm okay. Yes, I realize that I anthropromorphize my cats, but I can't help it, all three of them really do react to my moods in a seemingly human way. When I'm grumpy, they act out and are grouchy towards each other ('cept girl cat, because she's perfect). When I'm happy, they play and when I'm sad, they all hover around me and snuggle me.

Have yet to break any dishes. Although, I did throw a pair of sunglasses down the stairs and they broke to pieces. I'm just hoping that all of this is directly related to my frustration at not getting pregnant as opposed to an omen of what I'll be like for the rest of my life

Since I haven't really been feeling any AF symptoms, I POAS today: grr....I know I shouldn't do this to myself and I should just wait, but I'm impatient...I can't help it It's simply who I am. I hope I have better self control after my IUI or else I can tell that I'll really get myself down if I test too early.

Mom2cats - I did it too! I figured there had to be a reason I wasn't getting AF so all day at work yesturday I was daydreaming about going home to POAS and it being positive. So for 10 hours I sat there dreaming and getting my hopes up... Sure enough it was BFN!!!!

Welcome to all the newcomers! It's great to have a group like this... Even if most of us are just WAITING!

Good luck to the girls going I. For ultrasounds soon... I am beyond jealous! Keep us updated on how things go! We are all living vicariously through you!

Well, yesterday they couldn't find the r ovary on u/s due to gas?? but they drew an estradiol level to help determine if there is any cysts to be concerned of. In the mean time I am starting my femara and waiting to hear the b/w results.

It sounds like I will be cycle buddies with a couple of you because AF showed on July 5 as well for me. I really hope this is our time!!!!

It is good to see a good group of ladies. I hope you are all doing well!

One more thing to add to my stress while waiting for AF:

I have an irrational fear of thunder (no problem with lightning, but I have a knee-jerk heart stopping full on anxiety reaction to thunder) and I'm sitting home alone...to have a tornado warning emergency alert cut into my show...

lovely.

Got great news today. We get to start our 2nd IUI very soon. I start taking 100 mg Clomid tomorrow 5-9 and then go back next Thursday to see how things look if looks good will have my trigger shot. I'm praying we get to do the IUI the next day., The doctor put me on a chewable multivitamin that childern take since having problems with prenatal vitamins he also put me on more folic acid.

I asked him why didn't it work the first time an he said this. He said everything was prefect on my end but my DH sperm count that is low just didn't get it this last time but the way he talked he thinks this time will go. He took me from 50mg Clomid to 100mg to see if I will produce more follices. He said it does take just one follice to get a BFP but he wants to see if can get my ovaires to produce more. I'm keeping my that it works. We've had a very long day but when went to see RE today I was very relaxed an Happy..

Good Luck to everyone and lots of baby dust..

I'm so excited this time..

I just wanted to share that I too feel like I am often going crazy through this whole process!!! On IUI #2 I yelled at my DH because he drove his sample to the clinic between his legs with the seat warmer on! I told him I was afraid that he cooked them all! It turned out he didn't and he had plenty of "samples". The nurse pretty much flat out told me I was going crazy worrying about seat warmers!! It's so hard to think about anything else. I feel so lucky that I love my job and it keeps me so busy that I usually can't think about it at work. It's so hard though because so many people are pregnant at work, so it does creep into my head often!

I'm finally starting to feel some PMS type symptoms, so maybe AF is on her way. I'm retaininng water, and just don't feel right, so I think AF is right around the corner! Can't wait to be done with this waiting and start waiting for my IUI!

Hi all!

I thought I would be getting my IUI during the week of 7/11-7/18, but it will more likely be the 19th or 20th. Since was late due to taking prometrium for the first time, I was a little off, I suppose. I go for CD2 u/s and b/w tomorrow and then start femara then we shall see.

I already joined the other board, but I hope no one minds if I double-dip a little and join ya'll on this FUN-FILLED journey this month!!!

I AM HOPING TO GIVE DH AN AWESOME 35th BIRTHDAY PRESENT b/c if we IUI on 7/19 the due date will be his birthday!!!

owie!

Starting to have some cramps! Yea! I've never been so excited to welcome AF (I think we're in agreeance here, dpkaliua!!) and endure this horrible pain.

Glad that I'm not the only crazy one, and that there are more than just two of us out there! It makes me feel slightly better about the emotions that I'm going through.

Today my husband said the sweetest thing...he told me how excited he was that we're starting treatment <3 He hasn't really said either way, and I was beginning to get concerned that he was only doing it for my happiness but he actually said the words out loud and sat down and looked at baby-proofing stuff with me. We've been trying to find a good lazy susan lock since the kitten has figured out how to open it (so cute, he stands up and stretches against it!!) and he likes to snooze in there!

for cd1 tomorrow!!

Good luck to everyone! (OMG, I LOVE these smilies!!)

She's here! In all her glory! I am currently cd1...Yay! Right on time too...Nice that she's predictable and no weirdness going into a cycle. Hate when she's misbehaving and makes me wonder if something is wrong, and maybe the cycle won't work because something is off...Anyway, go in on Saturday morning and start stimming that night...Not sure if I'll be on 250 or 300IU (or somewhere in between) of Follistim this cycle, but will find out then...We got about 7 for sure mature follies last cycle, so hoping this one brings at least that...

Hugs and hellos to everyone...Lunch hour is almost up, so having to scadoodle before doing personals...I'm reading and watching you all though! Later gators!

Oh Molly!! Thank you for reminding me of that!! I forgot about the luckiness of 7...I'm hoping it does the trick, and maybe it will rub off on everyone and we'll all get our BFPs!? I am still waiting for the thread that gets a huge percentage of BFPs...I want it to be us!! Deal?? Deal!!
