Heart Still doing good!

Neutronnancy ~

I'm sure you will. It was an unbelievable amazing experience to see my little baby's heart beat! Good luck tomorrow with your u/s!

I'm still doing good. But my nauseated feeling has started to intensify this week - I'm on week7 now. I skipped dinner last night. I ate a few saltine crackers, that helped a little bit. I can't wait till the 1st trimester will be over, so I wouldn't feel as sick.

Hey Amy...glad to hear that you are still doing well despite feeling sick. I haven't really felt any nausea yet. I definitely have an unsettled feeling in my tummy for most of the day but it doesn't seem too be unbearable just yet. I kept saltines by my bed just in case I wake up feeling bad. My u/s in not until next Thursday. I can't wait to hear heartbeats (hopefully there will still be two)

I did got myself some saltine crackers, but I got the salted ones. I found it kind of salty. Need to get the low salts and no salts kind. Good luck with your U/S this coming Thursday. Experience any new pregnancy symptons?

to my understanding if the baby is measuring less than 7 weeks, an ultrasound may have difficulty detecting the heartbeat. so, please be patient and wait and see in your next u/s. i'll for you!!!

Hi Amy, Thanks for the kind words I have not given up hope yet but my RE seemed to think that Baby B would most likely not make it. It measured only 4mm while Baby A measured 13mm. My next u/s is on 10/8 so I am not ruling anything out until then to see if there is anything still in the sac. I am that Baby B can catch up - it's so funny...I've only known about he/she for two weeks but I was getting used to the idea of twins already. Time will tell I guess.

As for symptoms...I really don't have any to speak of yet. If I don't eat every two hours I feel hungry and slightly upset but no real nausea yet. My bbs are sore when I take my bra off but that usually goes away in the morning. I do find myself peeing a lot. I bought Saltine crackers too. I got the low salt ones too. Yuk. It is a good thing though b/c the regular ones (although extremely salty) are SOOOO good and if I had them I would eat the entire sleeve in one sitting!! LOL With the lower salt ones I am good with 5 when hunger strikes.

How about you? Do you have any symptoms? Has your nausea gotten better? When are you due? I am due on 5/9 - Mother's Day - how cool is that

Sorry about your loss...

Nancy,

Sorry to hear that Baby B didn’t make it. I know you must be sad, but at the same time, I realize that you are pulling yourself together because Baby A needs you. I think we are both lucky to even get pregnant on the 1st attempt since we are considered an advanced maternal age. I’ve heard it is really hard on the body to carry twins, especially so on the 1st pregnancy. How about being a new inexperienced mom and having to raise twins? I think it would be twice the challenges of raising one baby. Maybe it’s God’s will to lessen the burden on you having to raise twins. I’m sure after raising Baby A and gaining some mommy experience and when you’re ready to conceive again, Baby B would be waiting for you. Also, I’ll forward to talking with you again on our baby making round 2. Good luck to us both!

As far as my nausea is concerned, some day is better than other day. But I do get break and I'm able to hold down my foods most of the time. So that my baby is developing and getting proper nutients. My baby's EDD is 5/3/2010. Your baby's EDD is on 5/9 - Mother's Day? It's cool and a very nice gift from your baby! I can tell your baby is a generious and thoughful baby!!!

Also, btw, how to you attach the prenology.com ticker to your signature/profile? I am having difficulty...thanks for your help!

Amy

sorry you had to go thru this experience...

Nancy,

Sorry that you had to experience the loss of Baby B. Just trying to understand what has happened to you....did you have a miscarriage for Baby B? How does your body handle the empty sac of Baby B? Does it discharge the empty sac naturally to make room for the full development of Baby A? Or does it require medical intervention? Probably it's not a good idea if it gets rotten in the uterine because it may cause infection to Baby A. Just wondering if your doctor addresses the issue with you.

Sorry again,
Amy
