When should I have my beta done

Hi everyone,

I'm in my dreaded two week wait and starting to get anxiety about my beta. I had my IUIs on July 28 and July 29th. My beta is scheduled for August 12th. Is this too early. This will be Day 15 from the 1st IUI and Day 14th from the 2nd IUI. Is this too soon?

Best of luck.

I am new to the IUI's I just had my first one. I saw that you had two? Do they normally do two? I only had one. I am just trying to learn as much as I can!
Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. Yes, I've always had IUIs back to back two days in a row.

Yep, sounds right!

I had 3 IUIs and for each I was told to test day 14 (thought we just did a home test, not a beta). So the timing sounds right! As for whether to do 1 or 2, that seems to depend on the clinic. I think the pros of doing two are that it gives you an "extra" 24 hours of sperm potentially meeting egg. I think the con is that from what I understand the sperm count generally takes about 48 hours to recover so the second in 24 hours is probably not as rich as the first so it may not be as cost-effective, esp if you're apying out of pocket. But we were always told to bd the night of our IUIs! Good luck - hope the 2ww goes fast.
