Dealing with the BLUES!

Hello all!

How are you all dealing with the blues? It fades in and out for me. One minute I'm happy as a clam, the next I want to go back to bed and cry. I KNOW! We are all hormonally challenged, or gifted depending on how you see it!, but I am looking for tips from the lovely ladies of IF land!

Any help will be very much appreciated!

Thanks and to all!

Dear Greg'slady,

Like you know, we are all going through this. the mood swing is so dramatic that you almost feel like a different person. Plus, the anxious of waiting, trail and fail... it is very hard. Keep in mind that you are alone and some day, when you get the , all these suffer will pay off. There isn't much we can do except keeping a positive thought. I was the same, I had no one to talk to about it because I didn't want to make a big announcement about our IUI, so I had keep all of that to myself. Try to do something you normally like to do to distract your self. keep it up!
Wish you a good luck and the !

I am pretty much the same way. I don't know how my husband puts up with me sometimes! I fly off the handle and have little patience. I read a lot and that helps. I can take myself away from all the pressures of life. Acupuncture has helped too. It is very calming.

I agree with leidy, you have to keep thinking positive, even when those nasty negatives thoughts start to creep in. Do something nice for yourself!!

Good luck!!

Thanks! I will definately try to get a book or two to read.

I am totally doing the positive thinking. I am trying to tell myself something positive everyday that I hold on to.

Good luck all and thanks for the support!

I feel the exact same way. It really is an emotional rollercoaster!

Usually the lows are triggered by something.. like finding out someone 'accidentally' got pregnant and they didn't really want a baby at this point in their lives, or how easily other women get pregnant and hearing about pregnant people and babies in general.

It seems at work I am surrounded by talk of pregnancy and babies.. it can be so hard to hear about that ALL day long

I just try to remember that it WILL be my time. It will happen.. I will get pregnant and have a baby... maybe not right now but it will happen!

Hi Ladies,

I agree with everyone. This is an emotional roller coaster and it is hard. I struggle with all the baby talk all day as well, not to mention the people saying? When are you going to have a baby, or people telling me, I think I'll have another one right away. I wonder why it is so easy for some, it just does not seem fair.

I read a lot as well and going to the gym helps.

I am 10dpiui and crampy today and having a really emotional 'down" day thinking this is my cycle starting. I am trying not to test since I know its early, but the mood is low.

My DH is taking Friday off so we can go out for the day and away for the night to take my mind off the test on Sunday! Not sure this will work but it will be nice to be occupied!

Best of luck to everyone!
