Update

Hi girls. I'm going to make this short because I'm exhausted. I had my surgery today. RE discovered I have stage IV endometriosis. He vaporized my lesions, flushed my tubes, cleaned all the gunk off of everything and found that my ovaries were adhered by goo to the floor of my uterus. He cleaned them and put them back where they're supposed to be and performed ovarian drilling.

A surgical OBGYN dialated my cervix, cleaned out my lining, flushed my uterus and removed two fibroid tumors.

RE is very much expecting completely restored fertility ... praise God. I am weak with gratitude. However my body needs time to heal from these extensive procedures and I was given a shot of depo provera to give my body three months to become strong and healthy again.

We can try again in December.

I'm feeling okay, thankfully on lots of pain meds. Love you girls, keep praying for me.

- Angel

I have full confidence that you will get pregnant after this surgery. Thank goodness you did the surgery. I am glad I did my lap, although they didn't find much, they did find some things that they cleaned. You'll have more peace of mind now. Good luck!!

Angel,

I'm glad your surgery went well. I know it's hard waiting until Dec. to start again, but your body needs to rest after all you've been through. Take this time to regroup and focus on the things that are important in life. You'll need renewed strength and energy for this next phase.

Hi Angsea - thanks for posting this update. You have been in my thoughts. This sounds so wonderfully promising and I'm so happy for you! Why has it taken so long for them to figure this all out?

Well honestly, it didn't take them very long. It took me too long to find a good RE. Before March of this year, I had only ever seen GP's and regular endos. My RE did several rounds of IUI and when it failed to take, he got suspicious and decided it was time to do an exploratory surgery and I'm very glad he did.

So from the time I started seeing him it only took four months for him to realize something wasn't right.

I'm just mad at myself that I waited so long to get the right kind of medical treatment but you can't do what you don't know about and I was just too young and inexperienced early on to make the right choices. I will be 29 this September and DH will be 30 in May. By the time we have a baby, I most assuredly be 30 as well so thank God we got married as young as we did because we still have time now to get it right.
