i wouldn't be too upset with the re not wanting to increase your clomid(well i would but here is why i say not)..clomid can in higher doses cause negative effects on your body for pregnancy...if you react to lower doses that is good cause the higher doses can cause problems with your lining being too thin...which would make conditions for implantation negative...higher doses of clomid did nothing for me but make me grumpy lol...my lining did not grow neither did my follies...if your next clomid cycle does not work maybe you should consider injectibles? or reevaluate why the clomid is not working...lots of luck to you this is such a frustrating journey...

Hi everyone! Boy, I am having trouble keeping up!
Meredith - hang in there sweetie. I am moving onto #4 as well, and I noticed we are on the same board for the next one. I know - we all have bad days, bad cycles, etc. and it sounds like you're going through a rough patch. But seriously, you are a STRONG WOMAN!!! You have been through so much! I have faith that you can find more strength in you to stay positive for IUI #4. There is nothing you cannot do!!!! slyfoxy - I am doing OK - hanging in there. Taking my own advice that I just gave to Meredith above. I am making it a point to really be more social and try to focus on this one a little less. I don't want to obsess over it as much as I did the last ones! How about you? I see you are taking steps towards IVF. Me too! Hopefully I will not need it though. Vanna - I hope that you feel better soon. PLEASE do not lose hope. Well, you can for a few days, but then please pick yourself up again! If I can do it, you can do it. WE CAN ALL DO IT! Marmay - good luck on the test and please keep us posted. for you!Blessed - THANK YOU for telling me that whatever I am saying is helping you to be stronger. That was seriously the BEST thing I read all day. We have to stick together ladies!!! dylansmommy - how are you doing? What is going on with you? I think you're on the next thread with me too for October! you get your IUI this time! to anyone I missed!BISTRO ![]()

You're right Naomi - it's important to do things for ourselves!! Right now, I am considering buying new contact lenses because . . . well, I NEED THEM!!!! LOL. In all seriousness, I am on my last pair and I am so broke from acupuncture and paying for this IUI out of pocket that I've been putting it off. But I really do NEED them!! There's always plastic.
I will for your E2 levels, even though I'm not really familiar with all those levels as they seem to be fine with me. You have waited soooo long for your next IUI and I really hope this is it!! I hope neither of us have to go through IVF, believe me, but if we do, we might be cycling together. ![]() and goodnight!

Bistro,
Thank you for your kind words and encouragement. I guess I'm back. Still sad and not as much fight in me but I'm back. I had my baseline this morning. Ovaries looked good and had a couple of cysts but they were small. As long as my estradiol is okay, I should start injections tonight. I am starting on CD2 this time. Good luck everyone. ![]() |

Meredith, I am so sorry about your frustration! I was very frustrated with my first RE. I felt he was very dismissive and not aggressive. I now question everything. I have changed drs, and my re now seems very proactive, so do what you think is best for you.
I started meds last night and will be doing my first IVF cycle! for all of us! |

For all three of my IUIs, I only did 50mg of Clomid. I was getting good follicles with the 50mg, so my Dr didn't see any reason to increase the dose. I tend to agree with her.
I called my Dr about the BFN again. The nurse asked me if I wanted to try IUI #4 before going to an RE. She said a lot of people ask for "one more try" before going to an RE. I told the nurse I didn't know. If my Dr thought it was worth it to try...that we did something wrong or we could do something different this time, then I'd do it. But if we were just delaying the inevitable, I'd rather not waste the time and money. Heard back from my Dr today and she thinks it's time for us to move on to an RE. I'm not surprised, but it's still hard to hear!

alliben - I think it will be great for you to see an RE and I hope you can see this as a good, positive step. I know that you are devstated right now, but remember that every end is a new beginning. I hope that you can regain hope and positivity by taking the next step.
The RE might want you to continue with IUIs anyway. S/he may want to try a different approach to the IUIs. GOOD LUCK
