Hi there.
I'm still not sure if I'll be doing treatment around this time or not, but I think that I should. We'll see.
I just wanted to say hi and wish you the best of luck.
Once I know more I'll let you know.

Hi Wanessa. You must be anxious to get treatment going again. I hope things are going good with you. I'm sure this has been a very hard road but I have every hope that you will soon get your and you will be able to hold your baby in your arms. You deserve it.

I believe I'll be having my first IUI on the 20th or 21st!

I'm so excited. My Dr. wants to start unmedicated, but I feel like I want to try with Clomid. I'm not sure what to do.

Alison, did your Dr. advise you to start with Clomid right away? Did your period change at all while you were on it?

I love that this cycle is all azoo couples

Nelly ~ I would say go for the Clomid. There's someone else that I know (who is now pregnant) who tried unmedicated cycles first and she says that she regrets it. She wishes that she had tried clomid from the get to.
I guess everyone is different. This is YOUR treatment so do whatever you want to do.
I'm just suggesting it because I know how expensive DS is and I would not want to waist anything.

Nelly1, my RE basically gave me the option of doing unmedicated cycles or going straight to clomid. My choice was to start with clomid right away because I wanted to have the very best chance and I knew that it would probably be easier to monitor ovulation. Even though I have done 3 IUIs and I'm not pg I am positive it is going to work one of these times!! I took clomid on cd 5-9 before and my new RE recommended taking it cd 3-7 this time.
I agree with Wanessa about DS being so expensive and wanting to give every effort in trying to get that BFP. Good luck with whatever route you choose!!

Hi ladies! I am thinking if things work out right I will be having my iui in this range! I am trying for iui #3...we missed my lh surge last month

I am doing a 4th cycle of clomid since I never had an HSG and insurance won't pay for injectibles until I have it done. So, Thursday I go for that.

I am hoping for a June baby!!

Hi Kelly, good luck with your HSG. I had mine on Aug 17th and I have to say it was pretty uncomfortable. Luckily my tubes were clear and they had no concerns. Hopefully it will work this cycle and I will finally be pg! I hope yours goes well and pain free. I am still waiting for af to arrive, I suspect it will start in the next day or so. Hope everyone has a good week!!

Thanks Alison. I decided to take the whole day off work. I figure I don't want to be uncomfortable. I will sleep through the pain all afternoon!

We're doing our 2nd IUI this month. I have my U/S on the 18th so we'll probably do it on the 20th. I was on Femara for my 1st IUI and I'm starting it again tonight for this months IUI.

I've taken clomid in the past and I like Femara better, same results with less side effects.

Keeping my and for a .

vangel34 - good luck with your IUI. I have been reading alot of posts about femara. The two RE providers I have gone to never even mentioned it as an option. I was told about clomid then injectables as options. If clomid doesn't work for us in the next couple of tries we are moving onto injectables.

IrishKelly - good idea to take the day off from work. I had my HSG right after lunch and I was pretty crampy most of the day afterward. In the literature I was provided with it said that it feels like menstrual cramps but I thought it was worse (for me). The actual HSG is pretty quick and doesn't take more than a couple minutes but I felt quite a bit of pressure in my pelvis and I let out a yelp for a moment. I don't want to freak you out, just want you to be prepared since I didn't know what to expect. Luckily it should be over quickly. I hope you have good results!!

AFM, af showed up today which means I get to start my clomid on Thursday. I am having alot of cramps today which is kind of unusual for me especially since I'm not having heavy flow yet. I am sooo excited to get this cycle started!!!

Had my hsg today and met finally with the dr. I am all clear, but he believes I have pcos. This is a dx that seems out of nowhere for me, but as I read up on it, I see I have some of the symptoms. I am still taking the clomid and adding metformin. If I don't get pg this cycle, he suggests a lap and ovarian drilling. Ugh. My husband and I are devastated by the dx. I feel like the last few months have been a waste and someone should have seen this sooner. I have the day off of work and I am going to relax and rest. I am not really crampy yet, but I need time to process everything.
