Hi ladies.

I gave myself the trigger shot last night. I must have forgotten how to do it quickly of something, 'cause it hurt like a mofo. (DH likes to say MOFO)
I'm anxious about having our IUI tomorrow. I just can't wait.

Hopefully with 3 follicles and a lining of 14 we have a good chance, right?

I sure hope so.

I hope u ladies are having a great weekend.
I'm a work making up some hours since I'll be taking tomorrow off.

Deanie - HI! How are things going? How much longer in the 2ww do you have?

afm - I am on day 4 for the shots. I go to the dr. tomorrow morning for b/w and u/s. I'll find out in the late am how my follies are doing. So far, no side effects from the follestem. Feel great and looking forward to seeing how my body reacts to the meds. it all goes well tomorrow!

I am going to see if CA is a mandated state that has the grant. I will let you know what I find for all of the California residence.

I wont offically start my treatment till the 16th of the month. I have to have a restart consultation.. hopefully I will be ready for a IUI in the early part of November.. I'm praying for a miracle..

So my insurance basically sucks and I have a 50% copay, but they won't allow me to get the drugs from a mail order place. I have to get it through a retail pharmacy.

Does anyone know what Bravelle and Luron cost at Walmart? Of course I don't know my dosage or anything yet.

Hi ladies -

I need some help..... I am a bit confused about how things are going with the new follistem meds..... Here is what has transpired...

CD2-CD5 - 75iu of Follestem each night
CD 6 - Go to dr. and check follies. A couple on each side almost at 10. estradiol at 44. Still early so dr. ups dosage.

CD6-CD7 - 125 iu of Follestem

CD8(today) - go to dr. and check follies. Nothing changed on the left ovary, 2 of them at 10mm on the right. Don't know my estradiol levels yet....

As much as I hated the clomid, the first couple of times I took it, my follies responded a hell of a lot better than that! I thought for sure I would have had at least a couple over 13 or 14..... I know I am only on CD 8..... and it's still early, but am I not responding the way I should?

So I am just waiting now to hear back from my dr. about the levels and see what they want to do next.

Thoughts? Advice? Any and all are appreciated

I also had some stubborn little follicles this cycle, I'm not sure why but they were not growing as they did last time.
I can only tell you what my RE did for me. He asked to stay with the meds and kept an eye on my follicles.
I took Follistim 150IU from CD3-CD14. That's the longest I've ever had to take it but it got my follicles where they needed to be. Maybe you can ask him about trying a couple of shots of Menopour. That's what they did for me last cycle and it also worked.
I know how frustrating this is but hang in there and they'll keep on growing.

AFM - so the saga continues.... Here is what has transpired:

CD2-CD5 - 75iu of Follestim each night

CD8 - CD10 - 150iu of follestim

CD11 - follie check. 2 on right side, 1 at 10.5mm and 1 at 13mm.... estradiol at 64.... Dr. ups dosage

CD11 & CD12 - 225iu of follestim....

CD13 (tomorrow) - b/w & u/s.

I am just about to pull my hair out. The problem is my job... I travel every week. I purposely took last week off from traveling, thinking I would probably have had my IUI over this current weekend..... but that is obviously not happening. And I HAVE to go to NYC this week... and then I leave for CA on Sunday for 4 days.... I am I am in the 2ww by then otherwise all of these meds were a complete waste of time and money.

PLEASE for me tomorrow that my follies respond to the meds..... I need to make this happen this week!!

Thanks, Deanie!!! My boobs have been killing me the past 2 days and I've been a bit nauseous so I'm hoping the estrogin levels are increasing and those foolish follies are growing! How is the 2ww going for you? How many days left??
