blacka98-welcome-try to remain positive. When I conceived I thought AF was definitely on its way...I had light spotting and then she never showed up.

AF symptoms and pg symptoms are tricky! You never know which on it is until it happens. Try not to focus too much on it...as I'm telling myself the same thing!

has your husband been screened as well? could be sperm issues.

the iui procedure itself is very quick and easy. what's tedious is all the monitoring leading up to it, and depending on what meds you're on, the schedule of shots.

for example, an iui cycle for me goes something like this: when my pd starts, call my nurse to schedule an u/s for day 3. if no cysts present, start clomid for 5 nights. skip a night, take a shot of bravelle (fsh), two days later go in for u/s & bw. another shot that night of bravelle, 2 days later repeat u/s & bw, and so forth for about a week or 10 days, until a follicle has matured enough to take trigger shot that night; IUI is 2 days later, then back in 2 weeks for "beta" test, which is a blood pregnancy test.

Hi sken....No it wasn't successful this round But we will do another IUI this month and if it doesn't work, we will move into IVF in the new year.

I go to Center for Advanced Reproductive Medicine at University of Colorado. What about you?
