Can anyone give me a little insight on this MTHFR? Is it as bad as it sounds. My doctor gave me this diagnosis three weeks ago and I have been obsessing over it ever since. I am afraid that I will not have a successful pregnancy. Any success stories with this condition?

anitrak did you have to take any special precautoins during your pregnancy?

I was dx with it with my 4th pregnancy.. with my first I had ALOT of problems but managed to have a healthy son...then I had 2 misc and was dx complex hetero mthfr and am now on lovenox with this preg and keeping my fingers crossed....its my understanding its the type of mthfr that you have that depends on the tx you take good luck and there are def ways to have a successful preg with it!!

I started taking B6 B12 and extra folic acid once being dx.

Anyone else have information about MTHFR? I amhaving panic attacks every night. I just really can't handle another miscarriage

do you know what type of mthfr you have...what meds are you on? You should be on folgard while trying to concieve and baby asprin is my understanding I was am like I said now on folgard and lovenox and so far so good and I even feel better!! dont panic with the right meds youll be fine

Daney, Well the doctor put me on Neevo which are the prenatal with a high amount of folic acid and b6 and b12 prior to IUI. He said I will need to that baby aspirin and lovenox as well. He hasn't instructed me to take them yet though. What kind of monitor do that do to make sure you rb;ood isn't yo thick or thin.

Just though I would reply don't panic you can check out my signature it's my story and what meds I was on. Oh later in my pregnancy I had to switch to heparin shots twice a day but it was well worth it!!!!!!!!!!
