Hello Ladies-

I have been lurking on the board for a few weeks, but I would like to join your group. I had my first IUI this morning and will go back tomorrow for the 2nd. I am mentally prepared for either a positive or negative outcome and plan to do 2 more cycles of IUI before moving to IVF if this cycle is unsuccessful. I go in for my beta on the 19th at 7 AM.

I am very excited and nervous all at the same time, as I am sure most of you are as well. Hopefully DH I survive this process of trying to conceive. lol

WEll it looks like I am out, had bright red, heavier bleeding this morning, so I will be calling my nurse, but I expect her to cancel the IUI today. I am a little frustrated, especially since I took the trigger! UGH! It's gonna be a crappy Wednesday!

sarahelaine57 ~ this is very confusing sweetie. Please ask your RE why would you get your period so soon. I'm not even sure what to say other than sorry.
I'm sure they can figure out what's going on and fix it for the next IUI.

AFM ~ I think I ate something really bad yesterday because man oh man I've been having the worst heartburn ever. Seriously this sucks.
I feel really bloated and since I already have the extra pounds in me I'm looking preggers already.......it just sucks that I'm not yet.
I"m still having some mild lower back aches but that could also be because of the Endometrin.
I have to say that I feel like the "old lady" here since this is my 4th IUI and if I'm not mistaken everyone else here is having their 1st?
Maybe I should consider this IUI as my first too. Does the counting resets itself once you've been pregnant already? hahaha just kidding.

Wanessa-this is my 1st IUI after giving birth, I had 3 to get preggo with my son, so I am right there with ya! As for this whole bleeding thing, I just don't know what to think, my nurse didn't really give me her opinion on what it is because she wants to see what he u/s tomorrow shows...she kept the IUI appt for tomorrow just in case but I am being negative and don't think it is necessary...

Sooo it's official The 2ww begins .
Our numbers were not ideal... 14 mil, very low morpology (1%), unsure of motility. Doc said my lining was perfect. Only one mature follicle. DH and I keep saying "it only takes one". And it does!!

I took my trigger last night, and this morning I feel like I have bad period pains, at each side of my ovaries, is this the follicles releasing egg(s) ? Its a very sharp pain. Is this normal??
I forgot to ask the nurse yesterday, will I have another ultra sound right before the iui?

Lucy that sound pretty normal to me. My experiences with trigger shots have been interesting to say the least.
It gives me hot flashes and everything.

The cramping pain is most likely your eggs getting ready to release. From what I understand the trigger shot is also like a growth booster for the follicles so maybe they're responding to that while they grow.

As for an ultra before the IUI, I have never had one. You just pretty much go in, sign a consent form and they inseminate you. They'll open your cervix with the clamp, clean the area with those oversize qtips and then they inject the sperm with the catheter. It should be pretty painless. You might feel some pressure but that's pretty much it.

lovesshihtzu - YAY WELCOME to the 2ww. It's going to go by super fast (just keep telling yourself that), I know that I am telling myself that. We'll get our BFP you'll see.

AFM- I'm still having some really bad heartburn. I just want this to stop. It sucks. I don't usually get heartburn that's what is weird. Could I have heartburn from a meal that I ate last Sunday? Isn't that kind of long? weird, weird, weird.
I'm still pretty bloated.....the spotting only lasted for that one day. I'm know having the joy of the gunk from the Endometrin .... got to love it. I do have to say that I prefer the Endometrin over the Progesterone any time of the day.

Wanessa-count me in as a cheerleader too, went for my u/s and my lining is def. thinner and they don't see any big follies (probably cause I ovulated due to the fact that I took my ovidrel injection tuesday night), so waiting for the official word from my doctor but I am thinking it is a no go and not sure if I can start meds right away or sit out a cycle...but I'm still gonna be checking up on you ladies and cheering you on! Come on s!!!!
