Count me in, although I'm not sure when my IUI day will be. I'm a newbie. I started follistim 125 IU last night. I'm scheduled for an ultrasound and blood work on the 26th. Good luck to all of us.

Heart TTC 2.5 yrs, new to IUI starting abt a week

Hello Ladies, My name is Theresa. I hope you don't mind me joining your forum. I am new to this type of online discussion but not new to infertility jargon.

My husband and I have been TTC for 2 yrs, I am 36 he is 39. We are going to begin our first IUI in about a week and thought it would be nice to see how everyone here was doing and just have somewhere to go for support.

Me - ovulation dysfunction, hypothyroidism, hsg and hysteroscopy good
DH - all looks great
TTC since fall 2007

We have done several rounds of clomid and other hormone therapy. Got off everything and took a break. Its actually been awesme.

Thanks for listening.

So today I went for my solo IUI, it sucked. My normal nurse was on vaca and the stand in was less than stellar. I am really crampy and had a little bleeding after not to thrilled with that.

So now on to the 2ww. this one works, had 2 follies at 20 when they triggered which was 1 more than last month.

Under the getting to know you - I'm Jenn from Central Mass, I worked in a local bank as a supervisor and my hubby is a high school Biology and Anatomy teacher.

As for the cost I am not a good example because luckily my insurance pays for it, I just pay copays for the meds, u/s, and the actual IUI

My name is Sarah, I live in Greene, NY (not greene county, the little town of green, south of binghamton, or if you dont know that about an hour south of Syracuse), I am a Pre-K teacher and cannot wait for tomorrow to come, lol, my DH is a Network Administator for Binghamton University...not sure what it is exactly but he works with computers...

Cost

To all the new girls.
Hopeful- I pay for everything out of pocket and it really stinks! My RE charges a fee of $1300 even if you have no coverage like me for iui. So far this cycle I have spent $1900 just for meds ( on a high dose of follistim) for a grand total of $3200!

I'm from NE PA and and a physician. My husband is an electrian.

Well I have another Ultrasound tommorrow to see how things are progression. However I am so nervous I have ovulated already. I have my usual aching in my side and egg white CM. Can this happen? Has anyone ever ovulated before trigger? I just really hope I didn't miss my opprtunity.

I just got back from the Dr...and I'm a little deflated. I'm on CD9 and it's my first cycle of follistim. I have one follicle on my left that is 18.5- and that's it. I thought I'd have a lot more. I ovulate on my own, and with clomid usually had 2 follicles. And now 1??? Very frustrating.

Hope everyone's cycles are going well

Amanda

hey Amanda! That is so annoying about not having as great of a reaction to the injections. But it only takes 1 good egg!!!

Good luck to you! Are you still stimming? I have to go back on Sunday to have another check...
