I'm in- and this is my first cycle. I am starting with 300iu of follistim tonight. I haven't given myself an injection before- so I'm trying to get myself ready.

Hi Charlie's mom.... looks like i will be joinin you, my third IUI was a bust and I decided to do one or two more before moving on to IVF. Looks like my IUI will fall on Nov1st. Hope we both get our ++++++!!!

Girls- I am in too. I gave myself the first of three Follistim shots today. I also starting taking Clomid (days 3-7). Looking forward to our month together with many

's at the end to celebrate.

You can do it!!! The only recommendation the nurse gave me today, when I administered my own, was to slowly push in the plunger so that it won't sting as much.

Cutiepie...how did you make out last night? Is this your first time doing any medications? 300 iu is kind of a high dose to start with, did the DR say why they are starting you at that level?

Ladies I hope that this is our month!!!!

Looks like my IUI's will fall on the 29th/30th or 31st.

Hi ladies-tentatively in for this week! After 2 failed iui's in March and April and a break for DH and I to see a couple specialists, hear options and decide how to proceed I had my lap on October 14 to remove stage 2/3 endo, checked tubes all is good, cervical reconstruction and trans-abdominal cerclage placed I started femara 5.0 (day 5-9) yesterday, go in to see my surgeon Thursday to make sure cervix is still open and if so set for IUI around the 29th.

Marth-looks like we might be on the same schedule! My nurse said Halloween weekend!

I started 150iu of repronox, the first time on the med so waiting for side effects to start....hoping this is it!

As for the higher dose, that is what my nurse did last cycle to "jump start" the follies and then reduced my meds to avoid to many follies...

Hey Guys! Well last night wasn't as bad as I thought it would be- the needle is awfully small. I'm al little nervouse about the timing of this cycle though. I am supposed to alternate injections of 50iu and 25iu for five nights, and then come in for an u/s to check follies. I will be out of town on CD10, so we're doing it CD9. Then again CD12- because CD11 is a Sunday. SO I'm a little afraid I might ovulate on my own this weekend and miss the IUI. I just didn't want to wait out another cycle- I just waited out 2 for my lap.

I'm not sure why I'm starting at that level. I'm 36- maybe that has something to do with it? I need to figure out how to do my siggy where I can put all of my info

As for your siggy, at the top of the screen, above where it say Forum Categories, there is a button that says USER CP. Click on that, and then go into Edit Signature. Should you choose to do a signature, that is where it goes. This website isn't entirely straightforward when it comes to these technical things!!! Good luck!

Well I just found out today my IUI will fall on Oct 27th. I went to RE today and they told me I have 12 follies. 8 in the right ovary and 4 in the left ovary. I hope this is a good thing. They just called me and hour ago to tell me to lower my dose of Follistim to 100mg. I hope this isn't a bad sign. I am so excited for the first time> I feel really optimistic. I hope all works out well for all of us.

Hi Juliana-Sounds like you are off to a fanastic start!!! They probably reduced the dosage to lower the amount of follicles that will mature. I know that in my practice at least, if you have more than 3 mature follicles, they cancel your cycle, as they don't want any Octo-moms! I don't know what your practice's protocol is, but I would think that it should be something similar!! I have my
