Bye Bye Iui

Hi All,

IUI #4 has officially resulted in a . This was my final IUI. I am going to be moving onto IVF. I've started all the paperwork, classes, checklists, etc. and am ready to go. My RE wants me to take a cycle off and I have to anyway due to the financial aspect, so I will be starting in December. It looks like the ER and ET would be around Christmas time, so I guess there's no more chance for a in 2009, barring a natural miracle.

I am feeling a myriad of emotions right now. Mostly, I am scared out of my mind. A close second, I am just numb. it's easier than feeling any other way. Survival mode is on, I suppose.

I want to thank everyone here for your support these past 7-8 months. THANK GOD I FOUND YOU ALL! You have helped me keep my chin up, saved my sanity, listened to me when I was down, and so much more. During this process, I do try really hard to look at some of the gifts I have been given as a result of my infertility and YOU LADIES have been one of those gifts. Your courage and strength has helped me through lots of darkness. If you can all do it, then I can do it. It is such a blessing to know that I am not alone!

So, bye for now lovely IUI ladies, BUT I WILL SEE YOU ON THE PREGNANCY BOARDS!!!!!

So much love, many kisses, and tons of hugs,
Bistro

We cycled together a few months back and I just wanted to wish you all the best with your IVF journey!

We were headed there ourselves... after 3 failed IUIs we were taking a break until early next year. We even had the IVF consult scheduled so we could make sure we were ready to go in January. We just got a surprise this month. My numbers don't look great but it has given me hope! Who knows.. maybe you will still end up with a Christmas miracle. Never give up hope!

it all works out for you!

Good luck in moving forward. I know that this last cycle has been so stressful for you, and I hope that you're able to relax and regroup during your time off so that you can start your IVF cycle fresh and ready to go.

Bistro....Sorry IUI didn't work out for you. I wish you much luck with IVF!!

We're going to our first RE consult tomorrow to find out where to go next. My OB/GYN did 3 IUIs, all failed, so we were referred to the RE. I'm excited but scared to find out what the RE has to say...mostly scared because of the financial aspects of what may be next.

This made me smile today. I'm also considering IVF after four failed IUI cycles. Right now however, I'm doing frozen embryo donation.

Hey Bistro and all other ladies,

After 2 failed IUIs, we are moving on to IVF. We have our consultation next week. We are going to take the month of Nov off and begin in December as well.

Good luck, I may see you on the IVF board.

Hi again everyone! Thanks to you all for the well wishes.

Alliben - best of luck with the RE! I hope that you are successful really soon!

tygerlilly - it is great to hear that after so many failed IUIs, the IVF worked for you. I am nervous!!! What is your diagnosis? I am unexplained.

mikeyswifey - wow! That's amazing! Congrats on your . I had a polyp removed almost a year ago and still nothing. Never had the lap tho. The RE thinks I do not need it.

BuffieD - good luck on that consult! It's very overwhelming and a lot to take in. For me, the consult day was tough - a very low day, to be honest. But after I accepted everything that was going on, I felt really great about my chances with IVF. Good luck!
