August IUI's
I realize it's a bit early to start posting for August IUI's seeing as how many of you are still in July (and hopefully that will be the end of the line for you). Maybe there are a few of you who have plans to wait until August...
Anyway, I was planning on a July IUI but my RE figured it would be a good idea to put me on the pill for a few weeks to help stimulate my ovaries for a longer period of time. I'm just a little confused as to why I'd start the pill on the 3rd day of my period for a few weeks and then have my period again and then start the injections after the next period. Isn't that the point of Aunt Flo is to get rid of the follies that didn't mature, and to get a new crop? I'm a little confused...

I am hoping that I will be ready for my second shot at an IUI in August. I have some more testing to do in July and the first week in August, but if everything goes good then hopefully I will be doing one then. Hopefully I get preggo before then though!

If everything goes according to plan, I'll be doing an IUI in August. We're traveling for three weeks at the end of July/beginning of August, so once AF shows up mid-August we should be set to go.
I'm doing injectables - Repronex + trigger - basically the same as my first IUI (see signature). What are you all doing? Hoping for lots of s!!!

HB = 176 9/4: 2nd ultrasound @ 9w - bean is still there! HB = 151. Graduated to OB! 9/11: 1st OB visit, heard the little one's heartbeat! 9/24: NT scan - the little bean waved at us! 11/13: Level II ultrasound - it's a BOY! Felix was born April 4, 2009 - 6lbs 14 oz, 21 inches

I'm sure I'll be taking Gonal-F again but I'm not sure. That's the only injection my RE's had me use for 2 previous IUI's. And she always has me do an injectible. I won't be off the pill for another 12 days and then I have to wait for period to start before starting my injections. It seems so weird to be on the pill when I'm trying to get pregnant, but I'm sure my RE knows what she's doing!!!

I will be an August IUI! We did our first in June unsucessfully... and I my doctor makes us take 1 cycle off before we can do another.
I'm about 5dpo right now and just waiting out the 2WW before I can call back with my next day 1. I do Puregon, Ovidrel and progesterone...

Hi All,
We have decided to give it another go, so I will be joining the August group. I have been spotting since monday and AF is due by Friday, so that should put my IUI at the end of July through early August. that the 3rd time is the charm. This time around my DH is beefing up his protein intake and not wearing his cup (from sports) the two nights before our IUI! He never told me he was wearing one, which doesn't help his already borderline counts!!! Does anyone have any recommendations for protein supplements? LOTS OF LUCK for the August group!!!!

Add me to your list for August IUI. Had to take a break this month as I have a cyst on my right ovary that on cd3 was 20mm. I guess the good news is that I am not in any pain :-) This is my first cyst and I knew it was a side effect of the medication but wasn't worried about getting one since I don't have a history---but I guess this is just God's way of telling me I need a break!
So, GO August IUI!! Hopefully we all get the we are hoping, dreaming, and praying for!!

I had a cyst from my 1st IUI and had to be on the pill to clear that up, it sucked, but at least it cleared and I didn't have any pain. I won't be starting my IUI until the first week of August.

Hi guys,
I am with you for the August IUI!  I had to take a break this month to take the pill and get three small polyps removed from the top of my uterus. They say that this month will be my best shot yet now that the polyps are gone and because I took the pill (which apparently makes the stimulation drugs work that much more effectively...anyone heard that?). Either way, I do think the polyps had something to do with the infertility, so I am hoping this is my month!!! Have any of the rest of you had a polyp removed?Amanda
