I'm a little worried

I had an IU done on the 21st & 22nd of July... I did a 1st response test on the 6th, 7th & 8th day after IUI and got a negative test each time so I knew the Ovidril was out of my system. Last night I started having some cramping like I was going to get my period (and I don't normally get crampy very often)... I tested this morning and got a clear but faint positive (yeah!) ... however, just now when I went to the bathroom, I have some spotting like I'm getting my period and some mild cramping... I'm confused and a little worried... maybe I'm not getting a positive after all ..anyone else ever experience this?

I don't have any real advice except to say maybe it's still implantation? Spotting in very early pregnancy isn't completely uncommon, but neither are "chemical" pregnancies, unfortunately. It's still very early for you. Call your doc, take it easy, and try to get a BETA scheduled so you'll have the knowledge of a number to work with. As for cramping or "awareness" of your uterus, I had the same thing around day 9/10 piui, and all went just fine for us.

Congratulations!! Keep us updated!!

I'd never heard of a chemical pregnancy before but I looked it up... I am scheduled for a BETA on Thursday, unless of course I do get my period. ‎..thank you for your response!

Sorry, I hope I didn't scare you...many women experience it, both in and out of the world of infertility. The unfortunate part for us fertility women is that we test so early that we tend to see it, whereas other women who aren't even necessarily trying to get pregnant wouldn't test and would just have a period pretty much when they normally would, never knowing they were pregnant. That DOES NOT mean this is what you're experiencing at all!! Light spotting, not full flow of course, can be a normal part of a full term pregnancy. Just, as hard as it is, try to take it easy and keep thinking happy, positive thoughts.

Good luck!!

I agree that this could possibly be implantation bleeding. I have heard of this and seems to be common.

Keep your head up! I hope your positive line becomes darker.
