Red face What is a good sperm count and motility to become pregnant from an IUI?

Hello I am new to the forum and was curious as to what is a good sperm number and motility to become pregnant from an IUI. I recently had an IUI (1/28). I had 4 follicles, 1 (19mm) 3(18mm). My husbands sperm count after washing was 14million with a motility of 40-60%. Are these good numbers? Since this was my first IUI I am very excited but also very nervous .

Hi there. I honestly wonder if the numbers even really matter. I have had 3 iui's, each time the hubby had about 27 million with post wash motility around 73 percent, and all were Yet some people with much lower number get So i think you have a chance with any numbers

Not sure about motility, but my RE said anything above 10 mil is great.

My RE wants 10mil total motile with atleast 50% motility for IUI's. I've seen some RE's say 5mil is ok.

It has been studied that 5mil is ok, 10mil is better and 20mil is best. BUT anything over 20mil doesn't increase your chances.

Goodluck

MsHope, I honestly think you have great numbers.

I have seen on this forum people with way less get pregnant. I have also seen people with high counts and mobility not get pregnant.

I honestly think it depends on your situation and of course IUI is all about the timing.

My RE suggest 10mil motile sperm so of course when I got my husbands numbers back I was super excited but nothing is guarantee

Good Luck and keep us updated
