WELL I DIDNT SEE A THREAD FOR FEB SO I WIL START TIS ONE. ME AND HUBBY DECIDED TO START OUR FIRST ROUND OF IUI AND WERE ALSO IN THE MIDDLE OF A JOB CHANGE HE'S FITTING TO START WORKING WITH THE STATE AND THERE INSURANCE WILL COVER INFERTILITY VERSE THE ONE WE GOT RIGHT NOW DOESN'T. I VO SEE THE DOC TUESDAY 24 TO LET HIM KNOW WE WANT TO GO FORWARD WITH THE IUI. I HOPE WE GET AS LUCKY AS SOME OF U LADIES ON OUR FIRST TRY WISH ME LUCK AND TO ALL.

This will be my 2nd IUI. First one was in Dec. and then I had my HSG done at the beginning of Jan. Went in for my cycle day 3 ultrasound today and everything looked good. Last time we just did Clomid cycle days 5-9, then did a HCG trigger shot on cycle day 14, then IUI on cycle day 16. My Dr. discovered after we had done that IUI that I had a low ovarian reserve, so he is being more aggressive with the medication this time. We are doing clomid cycle days 3-7, then starting daily Repronex injection starting cycle day 7 through ? I go in on cycle day 11 for a follow up ultrasound to see how my follies look. My RE will tell me then when to stop the daily Repronex injections, when to do the HCG trigger shot and when to come in for the IUI. I hope and pray this cycle will work. Our insurance doesn't pay anything and we are running out of money fast

I'm going in tomorrow for a day 10 u/s to see where we're at, I have taken Clomid for days 3-7 this cycle and then Puregon days 5-9. Based on previous we usually do the IUI on day 15-7, which is the very very end of January or 1st February, but I feel far behind everyone on the January thread so I hope it is OK to be here.

I'm hoping to be joining you ladies. Last month was a bust. I didn't ovulate. They've upped my femera. I'm hoping that it was enough to make me ovulate I'm on day three of five of femera. I so hope that it works and we can try again this month!!

Hello Ladies this will be my second IUI attempt I had one on 12/30 and ended up with a only to have a miscarriage this past week. Went in for CD3 labs and u/s today and I start taking femara Cd 3-7 and will return for labs and another U/S on February 4th to see how many follicles I have and when I will need trigger with Ovidrel. I am nervous about through this progress again for fear of having the same out come. I am trying to be positive since I was able to get a on my first try.

I went for my day 10 scan this morning, two follicles one on either side measuring 11.5mm and 8mm. I've injected again today with Puregon and again tomorrow, then go in on Friday for another scan.

Glad I found your thread! Im on cd5 150u follistim 1st injectable cycle with iui. Had an ultrasound today was told I have 3 follicles on my right side and several on the left! My RE said I was responding very well! Which is super exciting! But I was a good responder with clomid and had 2 iui and both ended with .. Im trying really hard not to get to excited! How is everyone feeling? Ive noticed that I am super tired and have a heavy feeling where my ovaries are not painful just aware if that makes sense.. I go back sat for another ultrasound! Does anyone know the typical day they do the iui with injectables? Or does it just vary person to person?? Thanks! Good Luck

Hi All,

I will rejoin the IUI journey this month. I go in for my day three next week when flow shows up and I am very excited. We have been on a break for 3 months and it was MUCH needed. We also have new insurance that covers us @ 90% and that is truly a blessing.

I will be a bit behind most of you as I am currently waiting for AF after I had to cancel my cycle due to illness. SUPER frustrating!

Gray - IUI day does vary by person and by cycle. They will measure your follies again on Saturday and decide at that time whether you need more meds and growing time, or if you're ready to trigger. I have had IUI's on day 10, 11, and also 12 all during different cycles. Good luck!

Thank you koko8! Its nice to have this site! Last time when I had my iui with clomid I thought I was going to go crazy! I was super obsessive during the 2ww! But I had no one to vent to or really talk to. My husband tries but he doesnt really understand. He is only doing this for me and would be fine if we choose not to have anymore children. Its me that wants this sooooooo bad! Hopefully this time around we will ALL be blessed!

Hi ladies! This is my first IUI and a milestone tonight...gave myself my very first Follistim shot and didn't pass out! :-) I did 50mg Clomid cd3-7 and am doing Follistim 100mg cd8-9. I go back to RE on Saturday to see if my follicles are growing. The last time in October I had one and it didn't grow to where we could do the Ovidrel. So...hope this month is better and everything grows right so we can actually try IUI.

Well, I've jumped from being on the IVF sites to the IUI sites, not how it normally work, ehh?

Brief Background: Was set to start Lupron for IVF for Febuary 2012 cycle. DH's tests came back that unlikely chance of viable sperm. We've switched to DS which means I am now looking at IUIw/ clomid. Waiting to find out if Dr will let me do Febuary cycle (Need to do HSG test and he doesn't like to do them same month. Trying to twist his arm)

Concerned about the lower rate of sucess with IUI. I know IVF more $$, but I was all prepped to go there. Saving money will only be worth it if it works on the first go. The heartache isn't really worth saving the money.

I'm glad to have this board! I will be starting my first IUI cycle in Feb...I'm currently waiting for AF. Have already had several and stopping prometrium, so AF should be here soon. I believe I will start Follistim next week, but meeting with my doc on 1/31 to discuss meds. What is the typical dosage for Follistim and what CD is it usually taken? I'm hoping she doesn't start me out too low as I didn't feel like 50mg of Clomid did anything for me. But, she can increase the dosage by day, correct?
