CD1 - anyone with me

I had my beta scheduled for this morning and low and behold, I woke up with AF (early I wasnt due until Friday). I spent the morning feeling sorry for myself, luckily my DH was with me which helped alot.

I am so crampy, more than usual. Is this due to the number of folly's I had this month or maybe the injectibles? I feel horrible all around.

When I spoke to the RE, they said I should have come in anyway for my beta - doesnt make much sense to me, tomorrow being CD2, I need to go in for blood anyway as well as an ultrasound. Ordered new meds for this cycle this morning, starting on the journey again. Anyone with me?

I may not be too far behind you. I'm on CD 21 but my next cycle will be IVF. So I'm not really sure when I'll start medications. Should find out more today.

Sorry for AF, man she can be a witch sometimes! I seem to have more pain when I'm late then when I'm early. It may have something to do with the medication you were on but don't hold me to it.

Keep us posted on your upcoming journey.

I am CD3 but need to take 2 months off for some surgery. However, is really bad this month. CRAMPS and really heavy bleeding, I think it is all the drugs. Good luck with your latest cycle!

Sorry to hear about AF, joginny. I don't completely understand the need for the beta, either. When I started AF from the 1st IUI cycle, they just scheduled by next u/s. I didn't do an hpt cuz I started AF 10 dpo. The second cycle, I did test + so that's when they agree to do the beta.

I'm rooting for this next cycle!!

I go for my day 3 sono and b/w tomorrow and then start my second cycle of Follistim and IUI. I am hoping they will increase my dose from last cycle since that was our first one so it was kind of a test run.

I am inching closer to IVF each month. Sigh. The good news is that I have two friends (they are not on these boards) who just got pregnant through IVF (it was the second IVF cycle for each). So that gives me hope that all the shots, etc will be worth it in the end.

I'm sorry AF reared her ugly head. I also had bad cramps after my IUI. I bet it was the meds and follies. Good luck to everyone. Kelly, I'm glad to her of your friends' success. I am probably going to be doing IVF as well w/in a few months.

I know that each cycle is "different," but I still think that how our follies react to the meds each cycle makes a difference as to how the RE proceeds. I did okay the first cycle, but no pg; so when she had me order meds, she did kick it up a bit (from 2 vials to 3 vials of menopur per injection; which is about 225 IUs, I think?). But, I did only grow on the rt side.

So, please have hope, kobl!!
