Thumbs up

I am new the the website. I have been trying to conceive for 5m months. I was dx with PCOS 10 years ago. Went of BCP 7 months ago. I had my first iui Janauary 14 with 100mh clomid, hcg trigger shot January 13 and weatring estrogen patch for 2 weeks. I am 2ww and it is very stressful. I have had a lot of cramping since the iui and my bb's have been sore since 2 days after iui. Is this normal? Does this mean the iui was not successful?

Smile Hello...

Glad to "meet" you, everyone. I've been lurking around the board for quite a while, but I have just officially joined, and I am looking forward to getting to know everyone. I have completed the basic steps - HSG/blood testing (all mysteriously good), 3 months of Clomid (I was a HORRID woman during those months - my poor husband), LOTS of meticulously scheduled sex (not as romantic as it used to be...) and box after box of OPKs and HPTs. I am scheduled for my first IUI this cycle, and my first ultrasound is on 1/29. Though I think I know what to expect, I am still fairly nervous, and I am still having some difficulties accepting the fact that this thing called INFERTILITY is actually a part of my life. Is that denial? I guess it is. Anyway, I am glad to have found a group of people that seem to understand what I'm going through, as this process can feel pretty lonely. You seem like a lovely, caring group, and I feel lucky to have found you.

I just wanted to say to all the new ladies to this forum. I only found this forum in November even though we have been ttc for over two years. I wish you all the best of luck and hope that we all get our miracles soon.

Well, I've been coming to this forum for the last few days and decided I needed to become a member. What a great group of ladies we have here! And talk about support! DH and I have been very happily married for almost 12 years now. I have been undergoing infertility treatments on and off for 10 years now. I feel like a veteran. But now have decided that I could really use the type of support that only you women can give because you are experiencing the same heartache and frustrations as I. Good luck to everyone out there! Hope to be talking with most of you real soon.

Hi ladies! Just wanted to introduce myself. I have high FSH and DH has low motility from spinal cord injury (car accident) so we plan on using donor sperm and IUI'S. This is my first cycle trying IUI. We were going to use Gonal-F this month but RE thought it would be a waste since my estradiol levels were already so high on day 3 (143). I guess it's because of my high FSH.

Anyway, I'mreally glad to have found this forum. What a great group of caring ladies you all are.

Hey. I just joined tonight. I recently lost my son, he was born stillborn at 21 weeks. He had a rare compilation of congenital problems and was diagnosed with a rare problem called cloacal exstrophy. He was conceived naturally. His father left when he found out the baby had some problems. What an idiot. I greive my son very much and miss him. Consulting after my body heals for IUI with donor sperm, 22 and in good health, hope I dont need many treatments. Keep me in thought, losing a child is aweful.

Hello everyone! I too have been lurking for quite a while. I finally registered this morning. I'm currently in my 2ww and just need to talk about it. I feel better knowing that so many are in the same boat.

My DH and I have been TTC #2 since about 2003. We have a DD who is now 7 and we conceived naturally after about 8 months off BCPs. She was born on June 24, 2000 via emergency C-section (breeched).

I worked in GYN for many years as a medical assistant and know what women go through when undergoing infertility. When we started trying and nothing was happening, I knew after a year that something was wrong. Plus my cycles were really long and my periods were really heavy. BUT...I didn't want to seek help because I didn't have the guts to go through treatment.

Fast forward to Oct 2007. My biological clock really starts ticking because I know I'm going to be 35 soon and my eggs were getting older. I finally go and see my GYN who recommends a RE to me.

After consultation, I have an HSG and find out that both my fallopian tubes are blocked. BOY was that painful! My RE schedules laparoscopy and hysteroscopy to fix the problem and I had that done on 12/13/2007.

For sure I thought it was scar tissue blocking my fallopian tubes from my c-section. Come to find out it was only mucus and my RE was able to flush both tubes clear!

I also had something hormonal going on with the heavy periods. So my RE decided that we should do Clomid 100 mg CD5-10. Ovidrel trigger shot when everything looked right, followed by timed intercourse and then Crinone.

He said we would do this for 3 cycles and then move to IUI.

Sooo, I'm finally to the Crinone part and the wait is killing me, every cramp, every twinge...ARGH!

Hello, thought I'd formally say "hello" to this subforum. I've been a member for a few weeks and have found soooo much support and help here. Thanks to all I've talked to already!

I've been posting under "donor Issues" mostly, but since I'm up for my first, and maybe only, IUI in Feb, I thought I'd make my presence known here too.

My story...My DH and I have been married for almost 5 yrs (together 6+). I've got two DSS, 14 and 10. Both boys live with us. My DH had a vasectomy 10+ yrs ago. We've considered reversal, but from what he's told me, he made sure they did a pretty thorough job the first time around (lots taken out, cauterized, and sewn), so we're not sure if it is worth it to pay the expense, try, and end up failing and wasting time. We wanted to do IVF ICSI w/ MESA, but ins won't pay since our infertility is "voluntary". So, here we are...after all of my dianostic testing, it looks like everything's fine on my end and we're ready to try our first IUI with DS in Feb.

This is a big decision with lots of emotions envolved...nervous, scared, excited, hopeful, frustrated, impatient...

So, hello to all of you on this same crazy ride!

I just joined today and here is my story:
After TTC naturally for 1.5 year, we went thru series of test back in 2006 (including hysteroscopy) - we were given the all-clear. Yep, officially, we have no problem ... Our doctor then suggested us to start with IUI but we just weren't ready for it.

Now that we've been trying for 3 years , My DH and I finally accept the fact that we are just not able to conceive naturally. So, I had my first appointment with my old doctor 2 days ago and agreed to start with the IUI. Unexpectedly, my period started yesterday evening and today I went back to hospital for Day-2 blood work/ultrasound. So, tonight, I will take Clomid (100mg*5days) for the first time.

I am really anxious to get this process going...but still hopeful .

Hello all,
Me-38 all fine DH-40 great count, no issues. (unexplained infertility ) We've been ttc for 3yrs. Conceived naturally Feb 2007, chemical preganancy, blighted ovum, mis miscarriage whatever you want to call it. DNC April 2007and started immediatly to conceive again. Started Clomid 50 mg only Aug. Sept. Oct 2007 all BFP, Went to RE late November cycle took December off tried naturally BFP. Started Clomid 50mg with IUI and HCG trigger. 1st round AF showed. I tried not to get discouraged stayed positive and had my 2nd IUI this past Monday. I'm now 2dpo and trying to live life and not think about it this time because I really drove myself crazy last month. I actually feel really good this time oppose to last time feeling tired, crampy, bloated . I have none of that this time. A little BBS tenderness but nothing really uncomfortable. If this doesn't work, I', set to have 150 IU of Bravelle, HCG trigger and IUI nxt cycle.

Little long winded but i've been lurking and reading so many boards and i've really been wanting support freinds and chose this site and I had to get all that out.

Thanks.
