Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie here although I've been reading through some of the forums. Starting IUI process and really looking for support and guidance through it all.

Here's my story:

Have one son born with 1 month of TTC. He was born January 2006. We never used BC since he was born and I was wondering why it didn't happen that quick again. Started using OPK (which I never could get a read on) and went to see my dr who referred me for fertility treatments. What a surprise to me! Throughout this, my cycle started going from 28 days to anywhere from 32-41! NO idea what was going on.

Anyway, went for all the tests and appears DH has slight morphology issue. Don't really know what the numbers mean - I didn't think to write it all down when the dr was telling us.

So here we are - undergoing IUI trying for number 2. I don't really know whats changed since my son was born and I thought I'd have my kids close together but you know what they say about the best laid plans!

So, thank you ladies for all your stories and encouragement...It will be very appreciated!

Angry 2nd iui/clomid/hcg BFN

Hello everyone,

I joined today. My name is mini. I'm 31 and DH is 37. We've been TTC for almost 2 years. DH sperm is normal.I have ovulation problems. I am taking clomid 50mg and metformin 500mg for the past 5 months.I ovulated everymonth and had great follicles.
Our 2 IUI's with clomid was unsuccesful and we are
scheduled for our 3rd iui with clomid again on June10.
Post wash DH sperm count was about 16 million and motility varying between 40%-70%.
My Doctor is not ready to change my medication as she thinks i am responding well with clomid 50mg and i should keep trying. My cm has dried up and i find it difficult to BD. I have scheduled an appointment for HSG this month. I hope i get normal results. I have no weight issues and am thin.
I've found this site to be very supportive and informative. So just joining in for some mutual support.

Thanks

Unhappy

I have been lurking for months, but have reached a point where I think it's time to join up. My husband and I are TTC #1 for 2 years now, I'm 39, have PCOS and a tilted uterus, my husband has perfect swimmers. We just had our first IUI, and our first beta came back ridiculously low , so I'm anticipating a m/c and then the miserable wait until we can get back in the game.

Hello all,

I just joined...needed an outlet so I don't drive my husband crazy with all the TTC talk. I am currently in my 2WW after my 2nd round of Clomid/IUI...hoping it happens this time, and wishing lots of baby dust for everyone here!

Just found this site but wish I had found it sooner.

My husband and I have been TTC for 2 1/2 years. Had a couple of miscarriages and a laparascopy over that time period. I just had my second IUI last Wednesday. I'm praying for a healthy baby!

This forum seems so great. Looking forward to getting to know all of you!

2nd iui today...

Hi, Just joined today. Have lurked on various boards b4. Decided I need to have some support. I thought it would work faster as I got preg. naturally at 25 the only time we did it without birth control... ay yi yi! Now I'm in my 40's, after ttc naturally past couple years (completely different partner than when younger) I tried IVF in march 08 on 450 units of Gonal F pen. 4 follicles, 2 good eggs, and one grade 1 embryo, but . Decided since I'm making eggs good enough to create embryos to try IUI and save $, plus maybe it will be better results as my old eggs might be pretty fragile.
IUI in may 08 3 follicles
IUI june 9, 3 follicles again, on 2WW

I am wondering if the IUI's are wise or if maybe I should try another IVF with different stim protocol?

Also, the IVF was done overseas - I had horrible jetlag, and caught the worst cold - had high fever several days at start of cycle and it took me two months to completely kick the cold . I wonder if that would reduce the number of eggs bc it seemed to me that 450 units of Gonal F is a lot . I'm in my 40's and think maybe the entire protocol wasn't aggressive enough? On the other hand, maybe I should try more IUI's b4 moving on to IVF in the states. Due to the horrible jetlag I cannot try overseas again. The price was right, but my body was miserable there. I'm a little confused if it was the real nasty cold and jetlag or my body that caused low number of eggs, or just the wrong protocol.

If anyone can share their thoughts, I'm interested to hear them!

to everyone trying!

Hi, I am Patti. I am 32 and TTC #2. We spent 5+ years TTC#1. My DH is sterile so we have to use donor sperm and IUI. This is our 5th cycle this time around. I just need someplace for support.

Thanks

Greetings.
I had my first IUI on Monday morning, June 9th, did Clomid during CD 3 to 7, and HCG shot on evening of June 7th. Also, had my tubes tested on June 4th, everything clear. 3 mature follicles on June 6th. and husband had 37 million sperm. I am hoping the moons are aligning and this will work. We have been trying for 1.5 years, with one MC.

Any success stories with IUI?

2ww IUI w/ clomid

Hi everyone...I'm 34 and my hubby is 40. We've been married for 4 years and have been ttc for almost 2 years now. Since the doctor told us that we didn't have any problem so we've tried to do it naturally for quite some time. I couldn't wait any longer so we tried IUI no med the 1st time . The second time we did IUI (1 mature follicle) with clomidand this is my 3rd time doing IUI (3 mature follicles) with 2nd cycle of clomid . I had it done last Sunday (6/8/08). This 2ww drives me nuts!!! I'm only on my 4dpiui as of today and have an a.m. progesterone blood test tomorrow. We're hoping for the best number. I normally have low progesterone so we hope we do better this time with the promitrium which I started taking 2 dpiui. No pt symptoms as of yet - too early to tell. I've learned to take it easy and relax cuz I have the tendency to take everything (sore boobs, cramping) seriously as a sign. I easily get excited and get depressed everytime I get so I promise myself to just enjoy every minute of this cycle until I get my . Baby dust to all!

Newbie

Hi everyone,

I started posting on the thread for this week's IUI's, but I haven't posted in on this thread yet. I hope I can join the June BFP's. Congrats to all of those have have gotten theirs.

I'm 37 and my husband is 36. We've been married almost 13 years and we started TTC over 10 years ago. We tried it the natural way for several years, but assumed the problem was me. It took about 3 years to convince my DH to get tested. We found out he has a genetic translocation and is essentially sterile. For the last 6 years we bounced between waiting to have the money to do IVF, looking into adoption, and looking into using donor sperm. We just weren't sure which was right for us. Last year we started the IVF process, but it became apparent that the genetic risk was too high. I finally have come around to being comfortable using donor sperm, my husband has always been OK with it. So that is where we are now. I'm on the 2ww of our 3rd IUI (on 6/10 and 6/11) and praying for a miracle. After 10 years, I feel like it should be my time. I've waited very patiently and watched all of my friends have many children. I hope that if it is God's will, he will finally bless us.

I think this is a great support network and wish all of you
