Red face I'm new!

I'm new...just joined today and am so happy to see there is support out there. Still trying to figure out all the abbreviations...i'll get the hang of it! Husband and I married going on 9 years. TTC 7 years!

Me: 31
bloodwork normal, mediocre follicle count
DH:31-normal count, some white blood cells. he's on doxy for 21 days
4 cm cyst on left ovary
Endo diagnosed in 1/09
1 round clomid 100mg
HSG 2/2/09-normal. dye flowed slow to left side but no blockage
Crazy tipped cervix but otherwise normal.
1st IUI on 2/8/09
2nd IUI on 2/9/09
Progesterone started on 2/10/09
Nala-8/6/03 (ridgie)
Buster-8/05-(pittie)rescue dog so not sure of his bday
Juliet-11/02(long haired chihuahua)

so frustrated being undiagnosed for so long and to find endo and to move forward with a course of action feels good. Optimistic and hopeful but trying not to set myself up to be disappointed!!!

Good luck to everyone!
Amanda

Hi we are a 29 year old couple. We had our very 1st attempt at I.U.I a week and a half ago, we have been trying to concieve for 3 years naturally since we were married in 2006, we were diagnosed with unexplained Infertility with all all our tests proving normal! we have had rather a journey as I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and had to come off of my medication a year before trying. It has seemed a long time we've been striving for our "1st go!" and we that we might be one of the lucky ones who it happens to 1st time, as my health is deteroiating and I worry how long I can keep holding on before I have to go back onto my medication, and give up the hard work to get this far to go through it all again later.
Everyone's stories are so unique yet we all desire the same goal, I hope by joining this forum I can help others and we can all help eachother by proving none of us are alone in this.

Heart Hi

I am new here. I am 32, and DH (the only abbreviation I know is 29. TTC for 18 months. I did an HSG. Clear. We finally went to THE BEST infertility specialist. Turns out, nu DH's sperm had low morphology. We did our first IUI this past month. How lucky we are that it WORKED this first time!!! I am here to offer and receive support as I know this is certainly an emotional ride!

Hi - Newbie to this forum

Hi all,

My name is Lynn. I'm 33 and have been TTC for a few years. My husband and I started IUI cycles last year. We got pregnant right away, but then had a miscarriage. it was devastating. Now we've tried 3 IUI cycles - but no luck yet. Looking for support, as people without infertility issues just don't understand how hard this is. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Smile hello

Hello ladies,

I am 25 and hubby is 26. We have been TTC for 9 months. I am not ovulating and not responding to clomid. They have upped my dose to 150 for the next go round. All b/w looks good so this next time the dr wants to do intra-uterine u/s. to check on the eggs. Anyone had one? Are they painful? Hubby also being checked this month. If everything looks good, the dr wants to do an IUI. I am very hopeful that we will find out more this month than we know at this point. So far, we don't know a whole lot about what could be causing the problem.
I am very happy that I have found this site. It makes me feel so much better to know that I am not alone and that others understand what I am going through. I only joined about a week ago and I already feel like I have learned so much. I have just been reading others' stories and researching the different meds and procedures to see if I can diagnose myself! lol
Good luck to everyone. I think we all deserve s! Someone I work with (who has also had problems TTC) said infertility will make us better mothers because since we have wanted these babies for so long, they will be loved that much more!

Red face New to the ride

Hello,

I've been lurking for weeks, but decided to finally tell my story.

My DH and I have been TTC for awhile now. I had an open myomectomy about 10 years ago to remove a grapefruit sized fibroid. I had surgery in November to remove cysts and determine the status of my fallopian tubes, only to have them realize both tubes were blocked and they accidentally punctured my small intestine. I had a surprise bowel resection. Ouch. In December I had my tubes successfully unblocked and we attemped our first IUI on Feb. 2. I am terrified to do a HPT. I don't want the hope that I have to die if it's negative. Anyone else feel like I do? So, I'm waiting for AF by the 17th or my appt. on the 19th....

Thanks for listening!

We found out on Feb 14th that our 1st attempt at I.U.I has failed, we are absolutly gutted and it's hard to look forward without more doubts that another attempt won't work either, any advise out there for keeping positive?

Hello, i just joined this forum today, recently had a failed IUI (1st attempt) with Gonal F and Ovidrel trigger shot support. Diagonosed with PCOS several years ago and I'm on Metformin medicine since quite some time as well.

- Started Gonal F - Jan 20th, responded very well to the medicines.
- Regular monitoring for almost 8-10 days
- 4-5 lead follicles, many small follicles (RE wanted to drop this IUI because of multiple birth risks!!)
- Trigger shot on Jan 28th
- IUI on Jan 30th
- Beta on Feb 15th -

Symptoms all along after IUI:
1. period like cramps for 4-5 days pIUI
2. Tender bbs
3. Cysts type pain in left ovaries (least follicles)
4. Hot flashes
5. Mood Swings

I think these were all because of the Prometrium supps that i had to take from 1dpiui.

Cycle review, Thursday 19th, Feb.

Hoping for the best, not starting next cycle until April.

IUI expectation

Hello reeceman,

I had my first IUI on Jan 30th (details in the forum link) and want to let you know that the process itself is not painful and nothing harder than a pap smear but it's the pre and post procedure routine that is emotionally challenging but I'm sure it would be worth the efforts!

Wanted to send you best wishes and lots of .

Let me know if you need any more details post your IUI.

All the best and keeping for you.

BK

HI - I'm new too. I'm 28 (almost 29) and my DH is 31. We've been TTC for 2 years. I got off the pill a week before we got married. Tried naturally for a year and then started to meet w/ the dr and ran all the prelim tests which came back normal. So we have unexplained infertility. Then went to the RE in Oct 2008 and started the first of two rounds of clomid w/ IUIs. Blood test showed clomid wasn't working, so this month we started Follistim/Ovidril. Did 5 days of the Follistim and then had an u/s & bw Monday. Did Ovidril that night and went for IUI this morning. So two weeks and we'll find out.

Good luck to everyone!

Bauer (1 year old Bullmastiff)

My Sister-in-law has been pregnant twice since we've been trying...and she started to try after us. 1st born 4/2008 second due 5/2009.

Heart Hello!!!!

Hey Everyone!! I'm new to this but I feel like just reading what everything else has gone thru puts me at ease. I just had my first IUI cycle and now I have to wait till March 3rd or 7th depending on if I need another HCG shot for my Beta. It's only been a day and I'm starting to wonder how I'm going to be able to wait. It doesn't help that the trigger shots give me some the pregnancy symptoms so I figure talking on here will ease everything. I hope everyone is doing ok and I that everyone gets their this month!!!

Hi FutureBabyPerry - I just saw this in your sig and am trying to understand:
02/17/09- IUI #1
02/18/09- Did another IUI cause Progesterone levels were still low.

So you did another IUI the very next day based on low progesterone levels? Can you explain the reasoning here?

I ask because we just had our first unsuccessful IUI and they will have me on progesterone supplement for next one - but I take it 3 days after LH surge/IUI.

thanks..
