Hi! Well here goes...I am Amber, will be 35 in a couple of weeks and have never been . Dh is 42 and has no issues.

I have been diagnosed with Primary amenorrhea and therefore do not ovulate, so my dr has put me on BC for this month (hoping it will start a cycle), then we will start shots and then try IUI.

If the first IUI doesn't work we will go with Invitro.

I am pretty nervous, but hopeful.

Hey There.

I am so new to this..don't know where to start.

I have been trying since Sept. 2007 to get preggers. Just referred to a fertility clinic as so far all tests have been fine. Just recieved my possible treatment list to send to my insurance company to see if we will be covered.

I have no idea what these possible treatments will be like. We have to schedule our followup with the clinic to find out exactly what I will be taking.

Until then, I have a list and maybe you can explain some of these meds to me. The letter said I may have to take the following:
Puregon
Menopur
HCG-PPC
Progesterone Suppositories
Serophone

Do they give you this all at the same time or start you on one thing and then try the next treatment? What are the side effects? I am so confused!

Any feedback you can give me would be great.

Hi! My name is Laura and this is my first time on this site. Both my husband and I are 33 years old and we have been TTC for 18 months. After a year of natural attempts with no success, I went for hormone testing, ultrasound, and HSG. All were normal, as was husband's sperm analysis (motility, count, morphology all OK). We have been diagnosed with "unexplained infertility".

We tried IUI with Clomid (which, btw, turned me into an absolute lunatic) in November and December of 2008, and again in January 2009 at my OB/GYN's office with no success. However, timing of IUI was done only through an ultrasound on Day 12, so I'm thinking it may not have been very accurate.

In February 2009 we started seeing an RE at a fertility clinic, and have decided to try IUI again, but this time with injectibles. I started Follistim last week, and have gone every other day for blood work and ultrasound. This morning I had 6 follicles (3 in each ovary) but they are still small (6-10 cm) since I'm only on Day 7.

I am really hoping that the injectibles work this time, though they have warned me that it may not be successful on the first try. I am wondering if anyone else has had success with similar treatment? Especially anyone else with "unexplained infertility"...

Hi my first time online.. needed to be around others TTCme:37(no cycles since 18yrs of age, 1 miscarriage found out was exact time I was having the miscarriage was not ttc when it happen 3 years ago. married for 1yr 6 months

I did three try on clomid without sucess of mature follies. I am waitng for injection classes on the 19th to see if this helps. . I currently know 9 friends that are . Why not ME . I only have enough finances for one cycle of fertility treatments so I for a miracle.

So I am new here, just trying to get as much info as I can. Success stories are always welcomed.

As you can see from the signature, me and the dh have been trying since oct 07.

We did one IUI June 08 and miscarried early.

We just started out second on March 5th and I took clomid cd 3-7 and today I took my gonal f shot. I have an u/s monday, and my IUI next week. I am hopeing for a bfp at the end of the month.

Hi folks,

I thought I'd introduce myself, as I'm about to have my first IUI and am very nervous. We've done three cycles of Clomid with timed intercourse -- I ovulated once. We're upping the dose next time and trying IUI to increase the chances. I am scared and excited!

Hello everyone. My husband and I have TTC for years. The first two years we tried naturally and that wasnt working so we seeked help from our doctor. We are both in the military so it was difficult getting appointments and we have been seen by numerous different doctors. I was diagnosed with PCOS so they assumed that was the reason we werent able to conceive so they never thought to test his sperm. We tried clomid for a year with no luck. I had a HSG done and everything was normal in that area. The doctors were baffled because I had none of the more obvious symptoms of PCOS, I just didnt ovulate. They finally decided to test my husband and low and behold he had a low count and low motility. After all this time he was now having to go through doctors appointments and such to figure out what was wrong. They couldnt find anything wrong physically, just an unexplained abnormal SA. He also has a DS from a previous relationship.
Now to today....We transferred to a new duty station and right away I requested to see an infertility doctor in our area. I waited about 4 months for my appointment and we already had in our minds that we wanted to try IUI. The previous doctors said that his count was high enough for that and we should try that route before spending $$$ on IVF. The new doctor agreed and we started the process of IUI. I waited for my cycle to start the next month and started a round of clomid on day 3. On day 12 we went in for the US and they said I wasnt ready yet and we needed to wait 3 more days. They gave me and injectable and sent us on our way. The day of the IUI was finally here and my husband was absolutely dreading having to give a sample at the doctors office....(poor guy). We waited 2 hours for them to wash his sample and then it was my turn. The nurse came in the room and proceeded to tell me that his count was way to low for IUI (700,000). I was ready to burst into tears! My husband and I spoke about it and decided to give it a go anyways. Only one needs to make it into the egg!!!! Im praying and trying to believe in miracles.
We did decide that we should probably start planning on getting on the waiting list for IVF. Guess we'll know in 2 weeks.....
I joined this forum so I can talk about this with other people that know what Im going through. I look foward to reading everyones story.

been TTC for yrs, we tried naturally, but nothing happened. we started to see doctor last December and done some test like HSG, Sperm count, bloodtest, all the result came out fine, nothing wrong. cuz i have a irregular period, doctor put me on Clomid 100g, i took 2 cycles so far but still .we will try the IUI this cycle !

Anyways, Been looking for a forum like this a long time, been registered other forums before, but this site is ROCKi want to come here to share my story, support and helping people !!

New to this site. My cousin referred me. I am a member of 2 other Forums and she said this one was a good one - so I came to join this one as well.

I have a LONG story, and wont bother with most of it... since it is so long, I'll just give some brief details.

DH & I have been TTC for nearly 3yrs.
*Oct. 2007- Surgery for Endo, Ovarian Drilling & Dye in my Tubes.
* 4days later - hospitalized. Found out it was internal bleeding after surgery - was there for 6days.
* Clomid 2 months later, for 4 rounds, plus HCG shots
* one IUI failed attempt.
*took a break from TTC for 8months.
**Started seeing an RE in Jan.
** March medicated cycle of 100mg Clomid, Repronex & HCG. IUI will be later this month.

So thats it in a nutshell.

Glad to be here and looking forward to making friends and getting/giving advice/support!!!

Are you being monitored? Do you know you ovulated and when?

Good Evening Everyone,

I am the mother of two girls 16 and 9. I was married to my girls father and have been divorced for ten years now. I have remarried in 2006 and my husband and I have been trying to conceive for the last three or four years.. We have been together since 2004. We have not even come close. We recently did an IUI cycle (3/27/09) and now it's a waiting game.. I am so anxious I do not know what to do.. My dr. said I responded to the medication fabolously and now we have to sit back and hurry up and wait. I am so nervous because for the last five years we have been trying and I don't want to be dissapointed.
