Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and just wanted to introduce myself. I'm 24, DH is 26, we've been trying for 2 1/2 years, still no BFP. I've done all the tests imaginable, nothing has been found to be wrong except I did go in for a lap june 2008 where they found mild/moderate endometriosis. They said they removed the most they could and that we could keep trying. We've been trying naturally for about 1 1/2 years, then tried Clomid last year for about 3 cycles, with no luck.

We are now on to IUI, which we are starting this month! I just finished taking my clomid, 100mg, cd 3-7 and I go in for an ultrasound this weekend to see if there are any good follicles. On day 1 of this cycle, they found a cyst on my right ovary but said I could still continue the process if I wanted and we decided to still try.

That's my story and I look forward to reading other success stories and people with similar situations as me!

Introduce yourself here

I am new here. I am 36. Just got my first after 1 round of IUI. My husband is a cancer survivor and my RE claims I have trouble ovulating, though my cycles are like clockwork. I had great size follies. We used donor sperm. Anyone have any suggestions on how to improve my chances with IUI #2? I was on 50 of clomid with and ovidrel shot and IUI 36 hours later.

Newbie

Hello Ladies,
I have been reading this forum threads for couple of weeks now. Thank you all for being such a great support and expiration!
I'm 33, have been TTC for #1 for 2 years. I don't have any children, my DH has alsmost adult child from a previous relationship. I guess that must be a reason why he's not always very supportive of me wanting to try everything possible to have a biological child and tends to think it's a God's will for us not have children.
I have been seeing several OB/GYN's and 2 months ago started seeing my current RE.
The diagnosis I've been getting from everybody is - no diagnosis - ie unexplained. Which makes the IF agony even worse.
At this point my guess is may be it's my tilted uterus or thyroid AB/Hashimoto (?) (though numbers fall within normal range).
Hope I'll persuade my RE to do more immunological tests, because most of REs tend to wait till IVF, which is not covered by my insurance.
Well, lets hope for the best for all of us, we definitely deserve this!
Fraise.

Trying to get Preggers for FIVE LONG YEARS...

Hi all!
I have been stalking this site for quite some time and thought since I am starting my first IUI cycle, it's only appropriate to introduce myself!
I am 31 as is my DH. I have been trying to get preggers for 5 years with so many obsticles along the way I feel like an olympic hurdler (sp?)! We were misdiagnosed for 2 years. That was heartbreaking! Then we were led to believe the only way was through IVF, from an IVF specialist of course! After a break, I started doing research on different treatments and I liked what I read about IUI. It costs much less and has a good success rate!
Long story short, waiting on AF then starting my very first IUI! Now, we may all think this but I think I will get preggers on my first cycle and live happily ever after... what?!?!
So, that's it.
Nice reading all of your stories but to be honest, I read your stats first. I appreciate the sharing.

Here goes nothin'!

Alicia soon to be

Hi Everyone!

I am new here to this site and forum. I am on the same boat as most of your are and I'm glad to know I'm not the only one dealing with infertility. I have been trying for 1 year now and started taking Clomid Jan. 2008, I did about 3 cycles of it with no results. I am now on my second does of Letrozole/Femara but, I am waiting to get my period, I just took progesteron too help me get my period. so just waiting, then I can start taking 3 tabs a day on days 3-7 of femara. On day 10-12, I plan on getting a ultrasound to see how my egg follicles are doing. I'm suppose to go that HCG shots. Afterwards, I will schedule my very first IUI. I'm a bit nervous about it and I hope it will work. But, I'll keep you all posted. I will continue to do my part in sharing my experiences as I will also learn from all of yours.

My husband and I have just started our fertility journey. I am currently on my 2ww after a round of Clomid and IUI. The Clomid was definitely hard on me emotionally, but I ended up with 4 good-size follicles. Whether this will transfer into a pregnancy remains to be determined. My husband has okay sperm. It's not perfect, but the RE seemed to think it would do the job. lol

Hello Everyone,

I stumbled upon this site yesterday and decided to join. Both my husband and I are 32 and we've been married for almost 6 years. We started trying after 1 year of marriage. We saw an RE in Houston when we lived there, but had no luck. Moved to Austin, and was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. After being treated and taking a year to recover and heal, we started seeing an Re here. The funny thing is with all of my female troubles over the years, none of my docs ever checked me for any underlying causes. They just told me it would be tough to get pg. The RE here immediately had me do an HSG and found pelvic adhesion and misshapen uterus. Had laproscopic surgery to remove the adhesions and correct the septum in my uterus. When the doc got in there, he realized I had severe endometriosis with deep scarring. In fact, the scarring was so bad, it bent my uterus back onto itself and my left ovary was stuck to the uterine wall. He corrected all of that and we started trying shortly thereafter.

We're currently in our 5th 2ww. We've gotten pregnant twice, but both resulted in miscarriages. If we don't get pregnant this month, I will have to take a break and do my annual cancer scan to make sure I'm still cancer free. Then, we have to wait three months before trying again.

I'm here to get and give support. As you all know this is a tough road to travel and we can never have a shortage of friends who understand. I pray that all of us here who desire to have a child will have our dream realized. Baby dust to all!

First Timer...now waiting!!!

Hi Everyone:
I have never wrote on a forum, but this 2WW is so long, a buddy to talk to about it would be great

I have a beautiful 4 yr old daughter, and we have been trying to conceive for 3 years (one MC 1.5 yrs ag0). Our infertility has been totally unexplained...husband's sperm count and motility is great, I have a Lap and HSG to make sure everything is working OK, and ultrasounds show I ovulate.
So....we decided to finally give IUI a try even though insurance does not cover it.
We had the IUI done June 17 and at the time of the IUI we had 8, yes 8!, mature follicles. Husbands sperm motility was good and IUI went great. We had a trigger shot 36 hrs before the IUI.
Went in for ultrasound and blood test 6 days after, and progesterone levels were 176, and ultrasound showed 3 Corpeus luteum and the nurse said everything was great.
So now I wait.....I want to test like right now, but if I get a positive...I will wonder if it is still the hormones...negative...I will wonder if I tested too early. They said I could test on the 29th, so prayers are appreciated
Thanks for reading/listening,
Ali

Hello All!

HI all My name is Brandi (age 33)<waving> My DH and I have been trying to have a baby for a while now. I am overweight and often skip periods. We have been to the fertility clinic and have tried a few rounds of clomid and one IUI. I was supposed to have another IUI today but ended up with a period on Friday my 11th day. I just wish that my body would do what it is supposed to do!

Iui #2

Going in for IUI number 2 tomorrow... even though my "cushy" uterine lining seems to be leaving my body.
I'm so confused!
Same thing happened last cycle.
Has anyone else had this issue???
TIA
