Introduction

My name is Audrey. DH and I started TTC in 2002 in 2004 I was dx with PCOS. In 2005 we began the process of adoption. We had a very good experience with adoption and now are a happy family of four. We always knew we wanted another child and started ttc again in late 2008. We did two rounds of clomid with timed intercourse early this year and have done two IUIs with clomid with no sucess. RE is recommending moving on to injectables. We decided to do one more cycle with clomid while waiting for our consulation with RE regarding injectables. I am praying that this will be the cycle and we won't need to go further.

Hi. Just joined today. I am 35 and DH is 32. We have been TTC for 4 ½ years. We have male factor infertility. DH has low count, volume, and motility. I appear to be normal; Very regular, 28 day cycles with +LS surge on same day each month (or darn close) and always a lot of follies. I have a 12 daughter from prior marriage.

RE has me on 50 MG Clomid days 3 -7. I had a HSG and it was normal. We have had 3 failed IUIs thus far. RE says that DH counts have been lower than he’d like to see for 2 of the three tries and wants us to continue on IUI until we have had 4 tries with 10 Million+ good swimmers. We have fourth IUI attempt tomorrow. I am hoping and praying that this time it will work. Praying for a BFP!

Hello Everyone...I am completely new to this entire website and well the whole trying to concieve thing....first and foremost I admire all of you aand wish everyone the absoultly best....

ok now as for my story...I am 20 years old (yes I am very young)... =-)...I've been with my fiance for 5 years...and am still crazy Inlove with him....sounds perfect...well let me give you the reality of my life now...

In Dec. of 2008 the love of my life was in a car accident...as of today he remains in a comatose state and has severe brain damage...at this point everyone except for my self and his imidiate family have given up all hope for recovery...its the hardest thing in the world to stand next to the man you love and not be able to make everything better....but I do it every day...

we werent blessed with any children...partially because we didnt try....but no one expects this to happen...well here I go to give on my plans to have something left of him....I want to have and IUI done with his sperm...yes I know it sounds crazy and many ethical issues can be raised...along with the fact that I am young...but I know what I want and what I can handle...I work and am currently in the process of buying my first home...I know I can do it on my own...Im not saying it'll be easy...just that it can be done...regardless this isnt something I would do now...but in about a year....

over the course of my decision...I've had many different views and opinions...some bad and some very supportive...I just want to know what people here think and what advise anyone can give....I'm good with negative as well as positive opinions....I know ultimatly the deccison is mine...thanks

My DH and I have been TTC for 2 ½ years now. We have done two IUI’s and 5 FSP’s so far (FSP is IUI but they inject the sperm and over flow so the boys get closer to the egg). Our fifth FSP was successful but I miscarried at 9 ½ weeks. I had a D&C two weeks after I found out there was no heart beat. I am now trying to be patient and wait for my hCG levels to go back to zero. My fertility doctor told us to wait one cycle then we could start up treatment again.
btw...Our issue is morphology – low sperm count. Glad to be on a site to chat and support others going thru this!

To Unoriginal - You may want to try Acupuncture to help with the Clomid side effects. It can offset the side effects. The Acupuncture has helped my body respond to my meds in a great way. It also helped my friend with all her Clomid side effects...Just a suggestion.

everyone! You will find great support here, I know I have.

Smetty- I also am dealing with secondary iinfertitlity and have a 2 year old. People here are great, no one judges that this is your second child. I also was worried about that but when you want a a child and can't have one it feels horrible, even when you already have one.

Guera- What a sad story. I feel so bad for you. I can't imagine being in your position. I would just take your time when making this decision. Raising a baby is very hard and you need to be emotionally prepared to deal with doing it under such hard circumstances. Just keep you heart open and and love with help you make the right decision for you. Make sure your family is ready to rally around you and support you through this very hard journey. No one here can tell you what is right for you and I am sure that many will think that what you are doing is somewhat wrong. It is not any of our opinions that count! I wish you the best of luck! I am for you!

Happily married for 5 years.

Jan 09 Clomid / IUI #1
Feb 09 Clomid / IUI #2
Mar 09 - Laparscopic Surgery, Diagnosed with Stage 2 Endo
Apr 09 Clomid / IUI #3
May 09 Clomid / IUI #4
Jun 09 - Jul 09 - break

Smile New to forum/process

Hello everyone...
I am new to this process (IUI). I am not familiar with all the acronyms yet so I apologize.
I am 31 years old. My partner is 37. We are trying to conceive my first child. My partner has two children 10 and 13.
I am doing IUI.
So far...

CD1 - August 13/09
CD2 - First u/s and b/w. I have one follicle 14mm and one 7mm in r/o and in my l/o i have one 10mm. They were a little concerned with the 14mm as it is large for CD2, but all b/w came back good, my FSH/LH/E2 levels right on track.
I go back on Friday August 21/09 for CD10 b/w and u/s.
I am nervous, but ready.
I am happy I have joined this forum, hoping to connect with others going through the same/similar process.

Kelly

Hello: My name is Betty =) and I am so new to this. I have been ttc for more than a year. Always knew I was going to have difficulties,,, idk y?

Yesterday my RE told me i had PCOS and HPL which doesnt help fertility. DH SC is good and HSG was clear and blood work was good. (w/ the exception of the PL which was 68%)

Because I had just started my cycle a few days ago he said I can start w/ the shot treatments and I will be doing shots w/ metformin pills too. I have been doing some research and see that the % of me coming out prego "naturally" meaning no IUI is slim.

Any advice I can get.. I really want to have a baby.. my tummy gets butterflies any time I think of conceiving and having the beautiful experience most of you have had.. but at the same time my heart aches knowing the other side of the stories...

Please help me and guide me through this...
