First IUI 2ww

Hi! I have been TTC for 7 months and have a history of PCOS and hormonal woes! I just had my first IUI this week and am 3dpiui! I have been reading statistics on IUI success and you would think it would be higher when they are putting the sperm practically on top of the egg! Any IUI success stories would be appreciated in the 2ww!

BFP for all!

Hi

Hi: I am 41, almost 42 and for about 1 1/2 trying to conceive. I had thyroid cancer and I am a celiac, so taking any fertility drugs are not an option for me b/c of the cancer can come back. I have been lucky that a produce one good follicle on the right side and a few on the left, but the left FT is closed. MY hormone levels are good and as the doctor has indicated, my insides do not show my true age. I went through a HCG shot on 9/24, one iui on 9/25 and another iui on 9/26 ( our woth wedding anniversary! - maybe bring me luck). I have had typical mild cramping and very short lived spotting, my 14th day of cycle was 9/27 and since then, it is now 9/28, I have experience that drawing in my upper legs that i would feel after I ovulate and ready to start PMS. Doctor has told me over and over again that cycle pains mimic pregnancy, vise versa. Of course I am very early in this whole cycle and will have a blood test and US on 10/3 to see if I ovulated and my hormone levels. My husbands specimens were 80% motility and over 100 million, which I think is really good. Maybe his fast and plentiful "friends" will break into my one folli. I hear that of my age the folli shell can be hard for the sperm to penetrate. I jsut wanted to know other ladies opinion and advice and after IUI symptoms. Also my doctor todl me not do heany exercise, to stay low key so everything inside can do it thing. Any thoguhts? Thank you very much for your help.

Hello!

Hi, "Mysweethouse." I think we are around the same dpo after IUI....I am 5dpiui if you count the day of and I definately think it is way to early to tell.
I am sorry to hear about your health problems and hope they are behind you. I had a very rare hormonal illness, as well, a few years back and it is always in the back of your mind that it might make it harder to conceive. But it sounds like you are making a good egg and your husband has a good count, so I would say it's looking good! I personally just have to remember that if it does not work the first IUI (I have been TTC for 7 months) there is always another one 2 weeks later....and one of them will take!
Good Luck!

First Timer Here... looking for advice

This is the first time I've subscribed to a forum, but I'm new to this and looking for advice. Here's my story...
My husband and I have been married for 6 years. Last September 2008 we got pregnant using OPKs after trying for only 2 months. I miscarried at 7 weeks (anembryonic pregnancy). After the D&C I wasn't ovulating each month. Possible PCOS. I did clomid with hcg trigger for 2 cycles and developed multiple cysts on both ovaries and had to be put on rest with birth control pills for 2 months. Following that I did one round of follistim with hcg trigger, had perfect folicles, great blood work, used progesterone inserts for luteal phase support, but got a BFN. This month I am seeing an actual Reproductive specialist. At the initial US he found residual cysts. Blood work confirmed that I did not ovulate this month so I took progesterone for 10 days to bring on a period. Today I am on Day 33 and still no Once my period comes Dr. wants to do a hsg along with hormone blood work. The plan is follistim on slow stim with IUI. This will be our first IUI and I could use any advice

Hi! We are new here as of yesterday. I did a lot of reading on here yesterday and it was VERY helpful! I read that flex spending accounts help with fertility treatments, called my husbands employers benefit center and turns out enrollment is next month! That changes a lot of things! So thank you so much!!!!
We will hopefully be starting this part of the journey soon. We lood forward to getting to know everyone soon!
Our story is ourlined below in signature.

Working on cycle #3 just started Gonal f yesterday 150 and 150 today go back tomorrow for US and BW. Trying to stay positive if we dont get pg this time then we will have to wait more than a yr before we can try again... both the hubby and I are AD Military and duty is calling. Please keep us in your prayers
