Some of you have mentioned Follistim. Is this an alternative to Clomid? I'm waiting to test on my second IUI this month. I took Clomid days 5-9 and got super moody and emotional a day or so after stopping. It felt out of control and I'd like to consider an alternative if we do this again, though I hope we won't.

Hillary - I had LOTS of trouble with Clomid. I seriously felt like I was loosing my mind. When my RE mentioned using Clomid with my IUI I actually started crying. I am using Femara instead. I had very few side effects (a hot flash here and there and some pretty significant fatique). I did have some emotional days but nothing like I did when I was on clomid. I get hives even talking about clomid - it was that bad for me.

Crossing my fingers that you don't have another IUI but if you do, definitely ask for an alternative to clomid.

My DH and I have been ttc for 19 months with 1 MC. I joined the group because I feel more and more like I am in this struggle by myself. My DH is great but somewhat disconnected to the process. He is mostly concerned with the end result. It is such a personal process that I feel like I can't discuss it with just anyone, but I can't keep feeling like I'm in it alone either.
I look forward to knowing there are other women with the same struggles and even some that have already overcome them.
