Hello

Hello everyone; I just joined last night. We have been TTC for two years and have just started injectibles this month. Does anyone have an opinion/experience in regards to IUI versus regular inseminiation? The nurse asked me yesterday which I preferred and I didn't know how to answer. Is there a benefit to IUI if there aren't any issues with DH? I look forward to reading your experiences!!

Chloita,
Thanks for asking about me. It's not going well. I have been diagnosed with POF (premature ovarian failure). The kiss of death for having more kids. I've been devasted over the last couple of months and cry all the time. Every time I look at my DS I think about how much I want another one. I have an appointment with an RE tomorrow for possible IVF, but a lot of RE's aren't willing to take on patients with high FSH. They give out odds like 2-3%. Not good. They also don't want people like me to affect their success rates. Anyway, thanks for listening. I've been on a high FSH board which is why I haven't been on here very much. Keep me posted and fingers crossed for your BFP!

Hi!
Just came back from a new doctor, I loved him!. He's very nice and he works with his patients all the time, which means that he performs the IUIs. He looked at everything and he thinks that the best thing to do now is a laparoscopy. He believes that he can find the reason. Anyway, I have to schedule the surgery in about two weeks. Any of you ladies have had a laparoscopy?
Trying4#2: you have to keep being positive! I know how sad and depressing this whole thing is...I've being going through this for a while now and I cry my eyes out every month, but I am not losing my faith! I know it will happen. And it will happen to you too!!! Please keep me posted.
Katie1976: I'm sorry, but I have no idea about a regular insemination, I suppose that an IUI is better as it goes directly to your uterus.
Good luck to all of you. I'll keep you posted with my surgery!!

Hi everyone, I'm new to all this fertility stuff, but this board has really helped me! We've been TTC for about a year, found out in May that I had mild endo and DH had slightly low counts/motility. Just had my first IUI on 7/29 and am now in the 2ww--not too hopeful about this month because DH's sample had the lowest counts we've ever gotten--8M/cc with only 12% motility, every other sample has been over 20M with better motility--but I think it was just an off day. And you never know, it might have worked!

Wasting money???

I just found this forum today. I am realizing that this may not be as easy as I thought it would be. I am 35 (36 in 23 days) and I am going in for my first IUI this week. My doctor is doing 2 in a 24 hour period. Other than extensive blood work, she hasn't really done any other testing. I am using the ClearBlue Easy Monitor to tell me when it is time. I am using donor sperm and therefore this can't happen on accident. After reading through this forum, I just wonder if I should have more testing done before insemination.

I guess that every case is different and so are the doctors. I had a lot of tests and also having a laparoscopy this month. My case might be different as I had surgery to remove fibroids and maybe that's why I had to go through all that. But I don't understand how does your dr know if your tubes are ok...mine were blocked and we found that out by having a HSG (or hysterosalpingogram). You might want to ask him.
Best of luck!

Blessed

Hello Everyone,

I am just joining in and I had my first IUI today and will have a 2nd 8/17. My DH and I got married a year ago june, i'm 33 he is 37. I was diagnosed with pcos and EndoHyper last year and had a D&C, Hysteroscopy and polypectomy early this year. For my first cycle of IUI, my RE started me on Bravelle 8/9. My follies 8/15 were 1 dominant in R@24 L@22, 2 smaller follies on r/l @ 14, 10, HCG shot 8/15 My Dh has male factor inf.
Question with a SC of 3.56 post wash and motility of 91%, is conception feasible.....
