OT: Fun weekend ahead?

Okay, what is everyone doing this weekend? Anything really fun?

Our neighborhood puts on a "Broadway show" every year in a backyard. It's their 4th year (we are new, so this will be our first!) This thing is huge!! 175 peeps tonite and almost 300 on Saturday! Then we donate all the money to charity. My hubby and I aren't in it (remember its a state law here..no off key singing ) My hubby is the bouncer( he has to keep unticketed people off the deck..the high dollar seats) and I am running the deck hospitality (aka bartender for the VIPs)

The best part is we get to wear 20's attire. Well fun for me, my husband could do without that. I have to go over there by noon to start setting up the 300 chairs...Nothing like manual labor for taking your mind off the 2ww!!!

Okay, who's next....

That play in the backyard idea is awesome. I would love to do something like that. We are expecting a bit of a crummy weekend - there is a storm out in the Gulf that will probably hit us late today/tomorrow (we live in FL panhandle). We were planning to go to the seafood festivle tomorrow with our friends but it might get rained out. I'm thinking about renting some movies and just making it a bum around weekend with DH and the doggies since next week will be a crazy week because we will be out of town for my sister-in-law's wedding.

That sounds like a lot of fun Amy. As for me and my dh - we are planning on getting some take-out and driving to the mountains this evening for a picnic and then hike up a trail. I don't have any plans for Saturday. After Sunday school I have to take my dd to meet with her Girl Scout troop at the City Park for a human society thingy. And there you have it - my plans for the weekend.

I would LOVE to see a Broadway show in the backyard....my closest neighbors are coyotes right now....and all the other wildlife (this is what I miss about living in town!! Neighbors!)

We are heading up to Apple Hill tomorrow to pick apples, make cider, eat a lot of pastries and of course go shopping at all the little gift shops....this is a good time of the year to do this here...we are starting to get colder weather (well at least for California standards) and the leaves are starting to turn...I LOVE this time of the year....on Sunday I think I am going to veg out at home....maybe watch lifetime movies...DH and I pulled out a huge 3D puzzle last night so we will be working on that...fun huh???
