Sounds very promising!

I haven't heard of the drugs from Europe, but checking into it.

Thanks everyone who responded about the accupuncurist. I am checking as I write!

Wow, it seems like a lot of us are right about the same place.

Friday IUIers - good luck, I pray that you find patience and hope during your dreaded 2ww. i am here to cheer you on

chicky - as for the OPKs, the are always screwing with me and the ones that i have found that worked the best are the Answer, which come 20 to a pack and are just the stick. the digital, first response, etc always left me confused. so if you haven't tried those you might want to.

Steph - good luck with the accupuncturiest, keep me posted on what they say. apparently I have a cold utuerus... the herbs that gave me, well let's say I would rather eat the butt end out of a cow than drink them again, but hopefully they did the trick!

lovingwife & thunder - good luck with the start of your cycle, there is a lot of magic in the air, so hopefully we all have an amazing cycle

kim - how did the shots go?

as for me, well my mind is on other things, sort of, we just adopted a 1 year old male Rottweiler from the pound. well, he is awesome, really shy and has been keeping my other dog busy... they don't ever want to come in because they are always wrestling. but here is the problem, he got a cold so they couldn't neuter him so he his trying to show his dominance by peeing in corners, on chairs, etc. so i am following him around constantly trying to prevent it. They say you need to relax and not think of IF and it will happen, well with this going on, I think my chances are pretty good.

i hope that everyone has an amazing Thursday and only a little bit longer until the weekend!

New DRUGS

historyteach.....

I went for my baseline u/s yesterday (small corpeus luetum) and bloodwork (Estrogen level 78). The are starting me on 150 ui's of menopur/day. More bloodwork on Saturday and call Monday for further instruction.

I do have a question ............
My estrogen was 78 on cd5 .......... WHAT DOES THAT MEAN ? Haha, I have been at this long enough you'd think I would know - but you ladies all seem to have so much knowledge and explain it in ways that we "non-medical" backgrounders can understand

Thank you!

sweetie - i wish i could tell you what it meant exactly, it has to do with yoru estrogen level. i know that they want a minimum of 200 per mature follie for ovulation, did they tell you what they thought? and the drugs would help, best of luck. i will keep my fingers crossed for you

I don't know the answer about the estrogen levels either. I've tried searching info on the internet but I've never found what I was looking for.

Teach - I totally LOL when I read your post about the herbs from the accupunturist! The things we do.

By the way, I totally think I screwed up the OPK tests. I started testing on Sat (CD11) and that was the only day I had a pretty dark test line and on Sunday lots of EWCM. I think I must have surged sometime around then. Oh well, at least I think we've covered our bases with the BDing.

Let the 2ww begin. Yikes!

Jackie, they want to make sure your levels aren't too big on day 5. If they are you might have a cyst or will need to sit a cycle out.

Injections are going well. Today will be day three. I feel a little icky and having hot flashes, but nothing too bad. The real fun part has been the metformin which has made my stomach upset and very crampy. But- nothing's too much to endure at this point.

That is great about the new addition to your family historyteach! My brother has two male Sheppards and had the same problem when he moved to their new house. They wanted to make it their own if you know what I mean You are right about the distraction- I think trying to go about your normal life while all this is going on is one of the biggest challenges we all face. On Monday when Aunt Flo arrived i went to Kroger to pick up some supplies...and of course the supplies are located across from the baby food and baby supplies and my first thougt was what a jerk the guy who designed that was. But then it occurred to me that no one would ever know or understand that the innocent placement of tampons and baby food in close proximity would cause someone such distress someday. Us IF woman are sort of the walking wounded at times- no one can see our pain but it is always there. Wow! It must be friday because I'm clearly rambling in an effort to avoid work. Anyway- Good luck to all who had their IUI's this week and to all those like me who are feeding the eggs!

Teach - I totally LOL when I read your post about the herbs from the accupunturist! The things we do.

Get this- when I scheduled my appointment with the accupuncturist they told me I shouldn't wear anythign with a scent, not even deoderant because the doc needs to smell me to get a first impression of what may be my problem! Hello! Smell me? I can not get this image of this person sniffing me like a dog! Can't wait to see how this goes.

Kim, that is classic! I didn't have to be smelled when I went, I thought it was strange enough to have him closely examine my tongue.

Teach - I forgot to comment about your new addition. Congrats! We also adopted a male dog from the pound nearly 6 years ago. He was really think when we adopted him and already about 2 years old. Because he was so thin, he couldn't be neutered right away so he too kept peeing every where. It was actually a pretty hard habit to break even after he got neutered. Once he realized that we weren't going to send him back and that we really loved him, the peeing subsided. Now he is the best dog in the world. Good luck!

Absolutely, I think I might be a couple days behind because I'm au natural. That means I either ovulate late or not at all. We will see! At least all the info on adoption is keeping me busy! Three weeks until Christmas break Jamie, I can't wait.
