Well I've been obsessed with researching, (you know that nerdy history geek is coming out) and hopefully I make the right decision with what agency I end of deciding on. When I go through all of this, I'll be an expert in another field I guess.

sarah - i am praying that we each can find our miracle through whatever means it takes. this is just so hard, and it is really hard some days to stay up beat and positive. but i was talking to one of my co-workers in which he and his wife went thru 9 years of secondary IF, i told him, i just haven't accepted the fact that it is not going to happen.. so with hope still alive, I am praying we will both be holding a little one this time next year.

oh, and i am still avoiding my paper, it is due in about a week and a half... thanks for the offer to help but it is about Lancaster county, Pennsylvania Temperance Movement from 1840 - 1860, do you think i could choose a worse subject? i hope that you are enjoying the icky weather! and maybe some hot coco!

hugs

I went in for my day11 u/s and b/w. The nurse said I had a couple that were at 10. Means the clomid is working but I need a few more days. I average a longer cycle anyway so we were kinda expecting this. Still...I have to wait till Wednesday now. Unless my bloodwork comes back with something different.

I have to say clomid is interesting. I'd never had a hot flash before. Let me say wow. Is there a special smiley for hotflashes??? I have a whole new sympathy for my mom.

I also found I'm a bit weepy. Last night when I was on the phone with my mom (complaining at why I always have to travel for Christmas) I was almost crying. She told me to calm down. Then when I got off the phone with her I was sobbing, I rarely ever do that. I felt very lonely as well. I'm feeling better today though. Just very anxious.

Well I'm off to church. I greet today. That always cheers me up some.

Yeah clomid can really pull a number on you. I too had never had a hot flash until I started taking it. For me though, I have found the more hot flashes I have, the better the medicine is working!! And the emotions and tears and sensitivity... Hang in there, I bet your next u/s will show a few big follies!!!

Hi Laides, hope you are having a good weekend! We decorated the tree today but it just doesn't seem right because it is 75 degrees out and our AC is running. I still can't get used to the warm winters since we only moved to Florida a year ago from NJ.

Jaime, If you need to move on to adoption, you will know in your heart when it is time to move on. My dad and stepmom struggled with infertilty for years. They went through years of IF treatment including IUIs and IVF. She had severe endo, 2 eptopics, and a m/c during the time when IVF was still relatively new (about 20 years ago). She told me that she just knew in her heart that it was time to move on to adoption because it no longer became important how they got their baby, just that they had their baby. Now I have a great 18 year old sister and a 14 year old brother that are just as much a brother and sister as my biological ones. My stepmom told me that I'll know in my heart and I truly believe that she is right because she has gone through it (trust me, there really isn't anything else that I think she is right about LOL) .

Good luck with your paper, Jamie. Can't help you on the research. I did take a 1800s class in college so some of books might have some info in it though. I'll check them out. I love to get them out every once in a while.

Question, Jamie, what did your co-worker end up doing after 9 years of infertility? Adopt? Stop trying?

Well I guess I gotta join this thread. Starting clomid tomorrow. Here is the thing. I have been on 100mg 3x and all I get is 1 follie. Well, Walmart made a mistake when I got my Rx last month and gave me 3 months of 100mg! So now I have 200mg sitting. I was thinking of upping the dose to 150mg.

Clomid didn't work for me unless I was on 150mg. Unfortunately that's when the killer symptoms came.

jen - it never hurts to take your future in your own hands. i know that my RE wouldn't up my dosage of follistim, and i thougth that it should be so ... opps!!! i did it anyway.

Sarah - as for my co-worker they finally decided to adopt but took their time with it, it took them 3 years to get their daughter after they decided to go that route, in the meantime the tried several more procedures... and then when they went on BC after adopting, they ended up pregnant. so now they have an 12yr old girl, 3 year old girl and 2 year old boy. It is funny God works.

chicky - I am so jealous of the temps you are having, we are having a wintery mix right now, and I am praying for a 2 hour delay, but i would still take the sunshine over that any day.

well ladies, it is sunday evening and I hope that you all enjoy the week, and yes I am still tryign to avoid my paper...page 14 and counting!

I remember the wintery mix and I don't miss that one bit! It made commuting such a disgusting mess. Try to stay warm and dry, at least it makes for a good tv night. Good luck on the paper.

Hi girls, may I join in?

I'm on cd 7...my cd3 baseline u/s looked good, and I already had a 10 and a 7.6mm follie. I go in tomorrow hopefully for my Gonal F shot (I dont know how many there are since I've never done Gonal F before). My insurnace is so weird...it literally has two sentences on infertility coverage (which is required in my state).

Anyway, I am not sure if they will get the meds in tomorrow so I have to wait until the AM for a call...keeping in my that my RE is 2 hours away, tomorrow should be fun.

to all

Good luck to all of y'all in the 2WW right now and those going for IUI's in the next couple of weeks!

Clomid literally made me menopausal, I swear! I was hot flashin everywhere! And crying over everything. Actually I still feel the effects of it, I still have hot flashes several times a night and am very much more emotional than I was before I started the clomid several months ago! I think it will never fully leave my system!

Jamie, that paper sounds terrible LOL! I have some english paper to write where I have to research some short story, but I am absolutely putting it off to the last minute!

Sarah, When you become an expert you can pass it all on to us!

You guys are making me very nervous about the clomid. But I tell you as each day goes by I get more emotional. Though it could be the holiday stress starting to build. I'm talking to my husband on the phone though and am feeling better. I told him I didn't call him last night when I was feeling really now cause I was afraid he'd hang up on me. He said no "i'd only hang up on you if you're b*tching at me. if you're just venting it's fine, vent, i'll listen." He's so optimistic to. He thinks this will work the first time.
