What does my number mean?
Hi, Finally got the phonecall I've been waiting for and we're pregnant
 Can someone explain what 34 as the number I was given means? I am 14 dpiui and need to go in again Monday - is this normal and a decent number? Too flustered to ask the lady at the doc's office!! Cheers and hope there are more Christmas gifts to come for everyone Jo

Jo - Congrats on the BFP!!!
 As for the number that means how much of the baby hormone you have in your system. I have seen lower numbers, but it is more important that it doubles every 48 hours. good luck and congrats again!

!! I don't think it is so much the initial number that matters, just that it doubles every 48 hours.

Congrats!!! That is your Beta HCG number. HCG is the pregnancy hormone that you body produces when you are pregnant. Here's a website that talks a little more about it. Ashley HCG Levels in Pregnancy

We all worry about the doubling figures.... It's so crazy how all of this works.. It's one big continious cycle.. I worry and worry and get a good answer to my worry and then I find something else to worry about!! I guess that will only get worse when the baby comes!

Jo - I just want to say -- Congratulations!!! How awesome for you!!!
I'm sure everything will be just fine and I anticipate seeing your post that your Hcg number has doubled!! Have a happy & healthy Nine-mths!!
