No hyperstimulation on Clomid/Repronex

I went in this morning for my first ultrasound since starting medication (Clomid 100 mg CD 3 - 7 and Repronex 2 amps CD9). I had 1 follicle on the left that was 25 mm and 2 on the right that were only 10.2 and 7.2 mm. I am going to trigger tonight and go in on Sunday for the IUI.

I was so hoping for more than one follicle. The RE said that if this does not work, then next cycle they may increase the Clomid and have me take the Repronex days 9 - 12. He also said that sometimes the second month on Clomid is better, because it accumulates.

I understand that it only takes one follicle, but the RE seemed disappointed that there was only one and said that the chances were much better if there was more than one.

All the very best!! You only need 1 follicle to have a baby...and you have a big chucky one too!! Your chances sure increase when you have more than 1 but be positive!!! I hope this is your cycle.

Dont worry, a 25 is pretty darn good even if its only 1. During my 100 mg of clomid cycle I only had 1 follie at I think 18. So really- you're in really good shape with that 25! Good luck!
