Blood in the needle

Ok so has anyone ever had blood go back in the needle after giving themselves the trigger shot?? I did one just now and pulled it out and there was a little blood on the plunger, inside the syringe...kinda worried about it...I don't think this has ever happened before....kinda worried about it, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did you keep it compressed? You shouldn't take any pressure off of the syringe until it's out of you. That may be the issue. I haven't experienced this before sorry.

Hi. I've never experienced that. My DH gives me the shots and he is pretty good at it. Sorry I can't help.
Good luck!

I did have that problem once ..it was almost a year back so I don't actually remember it was Follistim or HCG but I do remember getting blood after the shot and once the blood got pulled in the shot too..scary for sure..but it was nothing to worry about. So Iguess u can relax..since we r not experts at these shots , we do make mistakes once in a while but I dont think thats something you should be really worried about. Its only bcoz these shots r safe enough to take at home(with some margin for mistakes) do the REs allow us to try them on our own.Chill.

it should be fine, if it was the trigger shot, you may have hit a vein rather than muscle. next time, hopefully there wont be one, but when you put the needle in pull the plunger out a little to make sure there is no blood and if not than you are golden. i am sure that things are fine, good luck and hopefully it will bring you a BFP!!!

I had the same thing happen the other night with a repronex shot...scared me to death but I think its okay. I too told the nurse and she said it happens if you loosen the pressure on the plunger. I just hate the whole shot aspect of this ordeal!
