Plan C Doctor Appt. Follow Up

Thanks ladies for all the kind, supportive words after my third IUI...
So plan A did not work out, I dealt with it, and moved on!
Plan B did not work out either. I cried, was angry, sad, depressed, disappointed all at once then realized, it would not help get me pregnant!
SO HERE IS PLAN C
I met with the fertility doctor today (does anybody else have transference issues with their doctor, or just me because I am single), he asked how I was doing. He wanted to know how I am, not just physically but emotionally. We discussed injectibles and clomid. He recommends clomid for now. He feels if the clomid does not work I should have a "lap" done to rule out problems. To date my main problems is lack of s**rm. If we were to do injections, it is more expensive, more tedious, more appointments... and more heartache. So if this round is not successful, we will do the surgery, and from there either jump to IVF or continue w/ IUI based on the findings. All last night I was gearing up to give myself shots, etc... But it appears I will do clomid.
Wishing all of you BFP's sooner than later...
Thank you again for cheering me on. I will definately be looking at the clomid threads... without you ladies sharing your experiences, I would be terrified and probably too afraid to move forward. So thank you again.
in case you were wondering A: get married, have sex, have children B: unmedicated IUI C: IUI w/clomid. Thank goodness there are many letters in the alphabet, because I ain't giving up yet!

I'm so glad you have a plan C, Deej! Sometimes just having a plan helps to alleviate some of the pain from a BFN (just a little). You have a great attitude! I achieved plan A except for the kid part! Whatever plan gets us to our BFP is the right one. Good luck, hon - I've never done Clomid but I know you'll get lots of info on it here.

I just signed on to PM you and ask how it went today. Really, clomid wasn't that bad and I will be here if you need to talk. My RE wants to keep me on clomid for now too. I will have a HSG done in early January.

I wish you success with this next cycle!!! I pray you will not need anymore letters of the alphabet because C will be the answer!!!

BTW, as a married person...I dig my RE too. He looks like James Spader (Pretty in Pink) and is really nice. We ahd a great visit yesterday and I feel really positive about the next cycle!

hey there, i'm really sorry your iui didn't work out this cycle. as we were talking about the other day, i think having a plan is good and helps you to look forward. clomid isn't that bad, i did it for 3 cycles. it can make you moody, but what doesn't in this whole IF process. you still have a LOT of options to try so stay positive. again i'm really sorry about this cycle. you're a strong girl and i know you'll get your bfp so hang on ... it's a rough ride but you WILL get there.
