I know this cycle will work however, i'm being proactive and thinking of the next cycle. (wasted energy I know becasue this one has to work) I chose Bravelle over the Gonal-f based on my Re's office studies of more success rate in his ofc. I will be on 150 IU for 10 to 12 days then Novarel trigger with IUI. Anyone on this? Or have any thoughts on this?

Hi princessd. I use Bravelle for an IUI cycle b/c that's what my RE prefers. I only got 2 good follies and got a BFN, but I've read of other ladies getting BFP's with Bravelle. The shots are very easy. I will be using Bravelle in combo with other drugs for my first IVF cycle next week, also. Good luck!!

I also used Bravelle in my IVF cycle on the recommendation of my re and because it was significantly cheaper. I was a bit scared that it would be too difficult (because you have to mix yourself instead of having a pen) but it was really easy after the first time.

I just used Bravelle this last cycle (9 days). It was easy. Then I had a shot to trigger.

It cost us around $1300 (our insurance paid 50%).

I'm new to these forums so I don't know the lingo yet, but here is our story:

Natural preg.& birth in 2001 (a girl)
Begin DEPO shot in the hospital-3.5 years later
-my cycles stopped altogether and just never came back.
2005/06 Began clomid & metformin (the metformin made me feel awful, only did 1 round). Some blood work and a "diagnosis" of PCOS.
3 rounds total of clomid, gave it a break for awhile
2008/09 Started clomid and did 6 cycles in all-NOTHING !
2009 Began seeing a fertility specialist:
1 round of clomid & complete work up (husband & self)= everything looks great!
2-15-2010 Provera (to have a cycle)
2-18-2010 ordered bravelle (already have trigger)
.........

To all of the women out there who have pcos and tried bravelle....
1. Did you give yourself the injections?
2. Is it hard to mix?
3. Who got pregnant after the first use?

We are praying this works the first time (treatments are costly and insurance won't pay for it)

I used Bravelle and Menopur together on my first injectibles cycle (1 previous clomid cycle resulted in BFN), which resulted in pregnancy.

Unfortunately, I miscarried our little miracle at 7.5 weeks but that had nothing to do with the injectibles.

I am currently on day 3 and will be injecting myself with 4 vials of bravelle this evening.

I do give myself the injections.
It is not hard to do.
They have videos on youtube if you get nervous.

Hi ladies,

I'm glad so many ppl are in the same boat with me. I'm currently on my first injectable IUI (the first one was with clomid). My RE subscribe Bravelle to me. I did not ask if there's another choice. Bravelle turns out good for me. The needles are tiny and I don't have any side effect.

I hope it works for all of us.
