well i hope this helps a bit. My DH and I are doing our first IUI as soon as I ovulate this month.( should be starting soon. ) We have been TTC for over 2 years now and after 2 SA found out he has and extremely low count.....only 2 the first time and the second it was up to 200,000
They are putting me on 50mg clomid and progesterone suppositoires to make everything the best possible so i know how you feel about the male factor. It is all just so overwelming. I hope everything works out for you . if i can help i am more thatn willing. hang in there.....we are all in this together![]() |

We are doing IUI's because of MF. My husband has a blockage on one side and as a result he has low volume even though his counts and everything else are in normal range (the low side of normal, but still normal). Our doc explained that the lower volume could prevent his guys from swimming to where they need to be because they didn't have enough fluid. So the IUI was suggested because it gets his guys where they need to be. We also wanted to do this because I have ovulation issues and we felt IUI would increase our chances.

We're also doing IUIs because of male factor infertility. We are currently waiting for AF, so we can start IUI round #3 with clomid, trigger shot, and progesterone supositories. My husband has slightly low strict morphology and slightly low volume.

We did two cycles (one back to back) for IUI because DH's swimmers problems: motility, morphology. Unfortunately, it didn't work and we are set to IVF/ICSI for June.
