how crazy is that?

Everything I read talks about taking Femara - one pill a day for several days... but my dr said all at once!

I chickened out in Jan. bbut after several more unsuccessful natural cycles, I finally decided to give it a try.

Please tell me I havn't done something nuts!

After the first failed IUI we are undergoing our second IUI this mnth.I was taking Clomid in my first cycle.This moth my RE asked to take 8 letrozole tablets 4 in morning and another 4 in evening all on CD3.I think we bot are on same bought.

thank goodness, my dr. isn't the only one trying this.
I was beginnign to think I'd become some unsuspecting guinnea pig.

PS. Right now I'm scheduled for u/s on cd10 to check follies, prolly start OPK on cd9? and progesterone test on cd18.

Does that sound reasonable? Anything else I should be pushing for? Not trying IUI this time, just hopefully well-timed BD (with no "performance" issues)

Today I had my sonography ,have one folly with 19mm size and also had my trigger shot today.Have my IUI on wednesday.
One of my friend along with me also given the 8 letrozole tablets on CD3.I think its the recent advance that they r trying 8 tablets together.Letrozole is better than clomid since it will help to develop one good quality folly.Risk of multiples wont be there.No lining issues also.
So everythig will go on smoothly i feel.Will pray for u.

Hi,

Don't be scared....I took Letrozole in 2006 10 pills in 1 day, 5 in the Am and 5 in the PM they of course were monitoring all along and told me when to do what. I also took 1 shot of repronex and then the ovidril to release the egg and IUI. On my 2nd try I got prego. The dr. changed it around a bit the 2nd time. I had no side effects. I Have a beautiful girl. I tried everything for 2 1/2 yrs with no luck. I call Letrozole the miracle drug for PCOS patients. Good Luck!!! Don't give up!!!

Hi,
I just saw my doctor yesterday and he put me on Femara/Letrozole. The nurse gave me 10 tablets and told me to take them all at one time!! I couldn't believe it, I asked her about 3 times to make sure and she said yes take all of them right before bed. I really hope that everything is ok with it this is my first cycle, hopefully we will do the IUI next Thurs. or Friday!!
