I am on CD 8 and my fourth day of femara. My question to you ladies that have taken femara. Have any of you had pretty bad headaches on this medicine? I woke up this morning with a headache that just doesn't want to go away. Any input would be appreciated. thanks.

I actually didn't have any side effects when I was on Femara. Each person is different though...I would talk with your doc.

I did my first round of Femara last month and had headaches everyday that I took it. I took it at night and went to bed with a headache and then woke up with one as well. I just suffered through them.
I only used Femara 5mg days 3-7 and didn't produce any follies. Took provera to start , which came today. So I this cycle my RE has me doing Femara 5mg CD 3-7, but he added Menopur 75 injections on CD 3, 5 & 7. He says that should boost my ovaries to produce more follies. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. I will keep posting. Let me know how things are progressing for you. GL and best wishes for

Carrie- Thanks for your response. I take my femara in the morning and I seem to wake up the next day with a horrible headache. Tomorrow is my last day of it so I'm sure it will start to wear off. My RE is really confident that femara will work without me having to go to injectables. hope everything works out for you this cycle and hopefully we'll both be celebrating our soon.

Glad we have this thread. I've been keeping up with the girls on the Clomid forum, but we need one for us Femara ladies
I start my meds tomorrow. I'm that this is our month. I would love to hear from anyone else who have taken Menopur with femara and what if any success they have had.
I will keep up with things here. Let me know how things are with you.

Yesterday was my last day of Femara and now I go in for an ultrasound on Tuesday. I'm really hoping that this is going to work. There are some follies in there. If everything goes well on Tuesday I should have my IUI by probably Thursday. sending you ladies lots of babydust

I was actually checking to see if others had bad headaches on Letrozole (Femara). I am on 2.5mg BID and yesterday was my first day. I woke up with a terrible headache this am and wasn't sure if it was from the med or if I slept wrong. At least this drug doesn't stay in your system long! Clomid was horrible!

I didn't have any side effects while on the Femara...but I followed Femara with the Trigger shot Ovidrel and about 5-6 post trigger I started to feel very nauseated throughout the day and I had a lot of indigestion (never had heartburn before in my life). I thought for sure I had my BFP...BUT NO LUCK...big fat BFN. So all of the side effects must have been from all the hormone flucuations.

December was my first cycle on Femara and it was a party compared to Clomid treatment. I was miserable on Clomid and had horrible side effects and even developed OHSS...it wasn't the drug for me!!
