I have attempted to use this site a few times now... i usually come read some posts and chicken out when it came to posting my own.

I am not familiar with all the abbreviations yet so please bare with me. I have been TTC for 3.5 years. I had one mc at 8 weeks before seeing a fertility specialist. My HSG showed my right side to be blocked but the left was good. We decided to try Clomid. After my first cycle with Clomid I started my period and so took the Clomid again (days 3-5), about a week after i finished the pills I started having spotting and alot of nausea we discovered I was preg and was having a mc again... my doc told me taking the 2nd round of clomid then finding out I was preg is not ideal but should not have caused the mc. I did 4 more cycles of clomid (which included u/s and trigger shots) with no luck.

Last month she wanted me to try Femara. Everything was going well with the u/s and I did the trigger shot but I started my period (which was quite heavy) so I on day 3 I started the Femara again until day 7. My period usually only lasts 3-4 days but I am still having small amts of bleeding up to today. Then this morning out of the blue i decided t do a preg test and it was a BFP.

I have looked under tons of categories and threads and haven't found any discussion of this happening.

I won't see my doc until Monday... I am not having any pain but I am pretty such this is another mc.

This is just a brief synopsis of my history with infertility so far... DH and I are leaning towards giving up as this is just too hard.

Any insight would be much appriciated

My journey has been quite different than yours, so I cannot offer any advice. But I can tell you that you have come to a good place. There are lots of wonderful supportive women on these boards . . . all with the same goal!

Hey, You've come to the right place. The girls on here are very supportive and understand what your going through. I know right now things may be very stressful and confusing but don't give up. I had a mc with my first pregnancy and a year later I got pregnant with my DD. TTC #2 has been a different story but you've got to hang in there. I have a friend who mc 3 times in a row and with the help of her RE she was able to get pregnant and now has a beautiful DD. Just wait to see what your doctor has to say on monday. Good luck.

I'm sorry for your losses. My RE won't let me start Femara until I've had a pg test on cd3. If you do decide to move forward on the bumpy TTC road, you may want to request a test so this won't happen again. Good Luck!

Well my Beta is only 120 and based on my dates I would have conceived on the 4th of June which as we all know means the Beta should be way higher than that... have to get checked every week until Beta is negative... Hubby wants to give up trying... i'm still on the fence.

I'm sorry. Only you and DH know what's best for you... Maybe you could take a "mental health" break and make that decision (weather to continue with IF treatments) after you've had some time to greive your losses? Please take care of yourself and best of luck with whatever you decide to do!

I agree. Maybe you need some time to grieve and a little "mental health break" would help. I am so sorry you went through all of this. Only you and DH know what's best but I hope you keep trying b/c I really do see children in your future. I wish you the best!

Omg, girl, what experiences you've had! I'm so sorry you've had to go through that. I think that in the future, since you have a history of having breakthrough bleeding when you're pregnant, your doctor should always schedule a cd3 beta before you start stimulating drugs.
