I so know how you feel about just getting pregnant already so you can move on to the next phase and infertility being a distant memory, lol. This month will be our 2nd IUI and I've taken Femara with both and also the HCG trigger. I have my ultrasound Friday to see when we'll do IUI.

Good luck with yours tomorrow! I hope it's a magical day for you.

I have my IUI on Monday . DH has to give me my trigger shot tonight at 10pm which I'm sure he loves, lol.

I had one follicle on the left that was 22mm and two on the right that were 13 and 14mm.

I'm happy about the one on the left since I think my right tube is blocked and I feel that's where I usually ovulate from.

Did I mention that I hate my RE and that I left there completely depressed? I'm feeling better now but that woman is so freaking clueless. I can't wait to be back in the care of my regular ob/gyn.

This is our 2nd IUI and DH has agreed that we'll do 3-4 total and then discuss IVF. However if we do IVF I'm going to look for another RE.

The great news for us is that we have infertility coverage with our insurance, they cover 90% and then one IVF/lifetime. The downfall is there's only 4 RE's that are contracted with Aetna and I've seen two of them and hate them both so that only leaves 2 left. There's a great infertility clinic near where I live in Nashville that have about 7 doctors all who specialize in different issues including male infertility and have a state of the art lab, but none of their doctors are contracted with Aetna so I would have to pay out of pocket to see one of there doctors.

Now I'm just babbling, lol.

I hope we all get our this cycle.

vangel:
wow, you are blessed to have coverage like that. aetna is really good. i am blessed to be covered 80% for infertility treatment. i have bcbs of new york. the only reason why it is covered is because the company i work for- the main office is stationed in new york so all employees regardless of what state you live in have bcbs of new york- services are in network for what ever state you live in. insurance companies in ny usually cover infertility i hear. i live in georgia. hopefully we wont need ivf but if we do we will be covered mostly under our insurance.
for you and I vangel .

I had my IUI today and it was very very painful. My doctor was out and they had her nurse practitioner do the procedure and she had a hard time getting the catheter through my cervix. She had to use the clamp because it kept moving and even then she had a hard time. She told me she thought I had some adhesions (scar tissue) and that could be why we haven't gotten pregnant on our own. However, on my last IUI the doc didn't seem to have any problems getting the catheter through so I don't know what to think.

She told me they could remove the adhesions and my first instinct was to run, lol. I have a very sensitive cervix.

The good news though is that everything else was perfect. DH's sperm concentration was double what it was last time and his count was 102million.

It seems like every time he gets a sample they get something completely different.

Hopefully I'll never have to go back to that place again and I get my in two weeks.
