Did Femara shorten your cycle?

Hi all! I have a quick question: Has anyone who has a longer cycle(ie 30-33 days) noticed that Femara shorted your cycle? I'm going to be starting my first round next week and upon doing some more research I read little bits of this happening. I would LOVE it! My cycles are usually 31 days long...Thats a LONG time to wait every month! I would love to have that shortened! More chances to try! Any experiences that you could share would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi inspiredbyhannah! My cycles are typically on the longer side, 31-37 days. Twice in the past year I haven't ovulated at all during a cycle and ended up taking provera to bring on AF. Those cycles averaged close to 50-55 days and were a double kicker with the long wait and no O. Last month I took Femara/Letrozole 5mg CD 3-7 and my cycle was only 27 days. Yahooo! But unfotunately didn't get pregnant. This month we're doing it again, same dose, with IUI, that we had this AM. So we'll see. The 4 months I took clomid my cycles were shorter too, around 28-30 days, but I had a lot more side effects from the clomid and the response wasn't any better. No side effects from the Letrozole. Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions. Good luck to you!
